Learn to defend yourself against an opponent using precise blocks, strong throws, and immobilizing joint locks. You will work with a partner to ensure that you get practice in both sides of Aikido: offensive, to attack, and defensive, to protect and avoid. Aikido is a non-competitive sport that doubles as a self-defense system, giving you time to both observe and analyze as you practice and train. Through steady training, you will gain awareness and sensitivity, along with grace, skill, and endurance.
Note: This is a free trial class for first time students only.
