  Really great experience. The captain was very nice and accommodating and it was one of the most relaxing times I've ever had! Beautiful weather, beautiful sailboat, and all around amazing time!!!

  So I planned this little adventure for my boyfriend and I . It was a surprise for him Since he was celebrating his 30th birthday!!! Well we had a great time it was relaxing and fun! Unfortunately we chose a wrong day to sail it was windy and when we tried to go out into the deeper part of the ocean it was really hard to just cruise on sea! The captain tried his hardest to give us the best experience despite the weather conditions therefore we appreciate that very much it was great night me and my bf shared moments laughed took pictures and finished the bottle of wine LOL oh his appetizers were delish !! We put them down next to us and in one of the twirls of the ocean they went everywhere so I only got to enjoy two but they were perfect ! Thanks captain mancini for your hospitality !!!!! Best date ever

  Couples Sunset Cruise June 11, 2014

  My previous expectation was that sailing charters came with over priced plastic boats and under paid employees - not the case here. Having sailed for many years as a young man in San Diego, for our alternating monthly "you plan it" date night, my wife surprise booked us a 2 hour sunset sail + dinner cruise. I was skeptical at first... However Captian Mancini is the very proud and throughly competent owner of First Star - a beautiful late 70s era Islander 36 cursing sailboat. Furthermore, not only does Captian Mancini take great pride in maintaining this classic yacht, he is also passionate about gourmet food and entertaining.
  
  After a beautiful sunset sail we motored back to the comfort of his bay view slip while sipping wine, where he magically produced an amazing 4 course meal for us in the cozy cockpit. Complete with white table cloth, candle light, wine pairings and of course romantically glimmering water all around us - dinner was easily the best dinning experience we've had in Marina Del Rey! This sail charter experience far exceeded my every expectation and renewed my enthusiasm in sailing. My only regret is that the bar has been set so high, all subsequent date nights will seem just average! How do I follow this up? I guess we'll have to book another sail - perhaps a weekend adventure to the islands...
