  I tried tango a while back when I lived in Atlanta, Georgia. I failed miserably. My teacher and his assistant performed amazing things together yet I couldn't figure out how. I completed the series of classes and ran the hell away. Too hard.
  
  Fast-forward, I'm back in Los Angeles and I stumble upon The Oxygen Tango Challenge. It was just what I was looking for: a structured program, the cohort model, immersion in the culture/etiquette of the dance, its history, its music, multiple opportunities to take group classes taught by experienced teachers, multiple opportunities to practice within a supportive community, private lessons with a knowledgeable instructor, etc, etc.
  
  That was three years ago. I'm still at it. The Tango Challenge gave me a sound tango foundation in the mechanics of tango movement, mind/body awareness and, most importantly, set me on a path of continual learning of this dance. On top of that, I'm meeting so many wonderful people along the way. You will too.

  I really love this school! For any level that you want to practice tango this would be the school for you. The school offers great support in a very friendly, encouraging environment. The staff there are very creative in the way they teach tango, as a result, they create a fun learning experience.
  
  They offer several programs for tango and I am proud to have graduated for the latest tango challenge program. I saw a transformation in my team mates and myself in this program. We started as anyone else who is interested in tango, feeling very nervous and unsure of what to do. Oxygen gave us a path to follow and it was more than just learning a bunch of steps. the program was everything a beginner would want to learn in a program including finding that confidence to dance socially. I can remember the turning point when you go past the awkward feelings of learning something new into feeling sure about how you move as a tango dancer. its a great feeling.
  
  If you are reading this and are considering tango then i invite you to take some of the classes at oxygen. Talk to the friendly people there also, everyone is always happy to meet you and help.
