All-Day Rock Climbing Adventure (Joshua Tree) June 4, 2017Amazing day at Joshua Tree
My daughter loves rock climbing and usually does it indoors. For our trip to the desert we booked a morning with Jim Dover of Rock Climb Every Day. Everything about it was fantastic. He called after we booked to see what kind of climbing she likes and was genuinely excited to tailor the day to her interests. He is a great communicator and taught her so much in just a few hours about rock climbing and challenging herself. Also he clearly placed a priority on safety. It was one of the best experiences we've ever had on any vacation. We'll do it again for sure next time we visit! -

Rock Climbing for Beginners (Joshua Tree) May 1, 2017I had a wonderful experience, Jim was an excellent guide and instructor. He was very patient and accommodating. The landscape was SO beautiful (Joshua Tree) and I felt extremely cared for and safe in Jim's hands. So much so that I think I'll make rock climbing and repelling a hobby :). I loved it.

Rock Climbing for Beginners (Joshua Tree) April 27, 2017Rappelling Fun!!
We had an early start meeting two guides and the rest of the group at the visitor center at Joshua Tree Park. I have a fear of heights so go figure...I chose to do this, but glad I did. With that said, the guides and the others in the group were extremely supportive, fun and safe. We rappelled from two rock formations: the first I considered the practice run; the second the real deal at about 100 feet. Be ready for a full day - we met at 7:45AM and ended about 2:45PM. A few of us from the group and the guides went to lunch afterwards. It was an awesome experience, am sure to do it again and would recommend these two guides (Olga and Carlos) for anything. -

Half-Day Rock Climbing Adventure (Joshua Tree) April 26, 20171/2 day climbing
I don't do reviews. So writing this one, you should read and heed.
I've done a lot of amazing things in my life from expeditions through most of our nations national parks, been to a couple dozen countries, jump out of helicopters for a living, and the list goes on. Rock climbing for the first time, I went with a guide from Rock Climb Every Day. He took me to Joshua Tree and gave me one of the top 5 experiences of my life (a life full of amazing experiences that most only dream about). So when I say top 5 experiences, it's legit. I will 100% be doing another guided climb with this company!!!!!! -

All-Day Rock Climbing Adventure (Joshua Tree) April 26, 2017Rapelling joshua tree
Had a great day rapelling at joshua tree park. We all met at the visitor center and drove together to the first rock (which of course we had to climb before we could rapell). After we all descended two times we drove to aan bigger rock and rapelled from 30 meters high, which was pretty amazing. We had a nice group so the waiting in between was no problem. -

Half-Day Rock Climbing Adventure (Joshua Tree) April 17, 2017Awesome rock climbing experience in Joshua Tree for the whole family
What an awesome day climbing and exploring in Joshua Tree. My two sons and I, ages 10 and 14 had never climbed before. Our guide, Jim, was fantastic. We climbed all we could handle and then he took us on an incredible caving adventure in the Chasm of Doom. Communication with Olga was easy. When we return, we will definitely go with Rock Climb Every Day again. -

Half-Day Rock Climbing Adventure (Joshua Tree) March 5, 2017Such an awesome first climbing experience!
My family and I booked a 1/2 day climbing adventure in Joshua Tree National Park, and it was a truly unforgettable experience. Our guide, Kelvin, was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and encouraging. He was amazing with our boys, who are 8 and 11. Kelvin gave us the perfect combination of adventure and education, and shared so much about the sport that you can tell him genuinely loves. Our 1/2 day adventure with him was easily the highlight of our vacation! -

Rock Climbing for Beginners (Joshua Tree) February 23, 2017The best climbing experience! Book "Rock Climb Every Day" every day!
"Rock Climb Every Day" customized an unforgettable solo rappelling-and-climbing experience for me at Joshua Tree National Park. Olga Ortiz was my guide and she made safety and knowledge of why I was doing what I was doing on the rope top priorities. Her experience, enthusiasm, and coaching really became invaluable when I had to ascend the rope. She spent a lot of time talking me through the movements of ascending, which requires some practice, but she was very patient as I figured it out. Without her help, I don’t know how I would have ascended one hundred feet to the top of the rock! After rappelling and climbing, we hiked a short trail through a rock obstacle course and looked at some other areas in the park where climbers were engaged. She clearly loves her job and wants to pass on that excitement to everybody. I highly recommend “Rock Climb Every Day” and would book all my climbing trips with them! -

All-Day Rock Climbing Adventure (Joshua Tree) January 1, 2017A great day exploring the park
We signed up for the beginner's half day course for my family of five on the website a couple days before having done a fair amount of research online. The website was very easy to use together with filling in the online waivers. We were scheduled to meet at the Joshua Tree National Park Visitor's center parking lot at 8 am. Olga texted us at 7:35 am to let us know to look out for her burgundy truck. After meeting up with her, we followed her into the Joshua Tree National Park. The $20 park admission allows you to enter the park for 7 consective days. We went hiking there the day before so we still has the receipt stcuk to our windshield. As we got there early (highly recommended), we got a good spot to go climbing. RCED supplied all the equipment from helmets, shoes, harnesses etc. Carlos helped out a bit at the beginning with shoe sizes and harnesses but then disappaeared. Olga then took over and went through everything. Safety was a primary concern for her together with keeping it fun. There was a couple with another instructor from another school climbing next to us and he was really pushy and the climber asked if he could stop and take a rest. I could tell that he was really struggling. Olga graciously offered our spot to them as we were about to wrap up the first location.
After climbing this rockface, we went to another more secluded location to do more climbing and rapelling. That was really interesting.
I've got to say that Olga was very energetic, capable and knew her stuff. She was also very personable with my wife and teenagers. She was very patient and even though we signed up for half a day, she stayed with us until 3pm. It was a fun and memorable day. Thanks Olga!!! -

All-Day Rock Climbing Adventure (Joshua Tree) November 8, 2016Empowering, informative, safe, fun, & life-changing.
I recently visited Los Angeles on a solo trip, and it meant the world to me to visit the Riverside Rock Quarry which was a climbing destination of great significance to a good friend of mine. I had not done any climbing in many years & even then it had been in an indoor rock-gym setting rather than outdoors.
Though Riverside Rock Quarry was not a location where Rock Climb Everyday teaches group classes, Olga & Carlos graciously agreed to make my dream come true and to take me out & "show me the ropes" (so to speak).
They were patient with my being a climbing novice, didn't mind the continued repetition necessary on the knots & other techniques that was necessary in order for me to finally grasp each said concept (which admittedly took longer than for most people I would suspect), and every bit of our journey, as well as Olga's instruction, were completed with a smile. There was also a great deal of fun & laughter as she has a great sense of humor. By the end of our climbing adventure, I truly felt as though I had been genuine friends with Olga and Carlos for years. How amazing to have a connection like that with people one had only just met.
If you are a beginning climber, please do not be afraid to try something new. I highly encourage you to try this! It is empowering. Do not for a moment feel intimidated by any lack of knowledge as Rock Climb Everyday will teach you everything you need to know to feel AND BE safe on the rocks. You may not even believe what you are capable of and surprise yourself as I did. It is truly a life-changing experience.
Safety is so important to Rock Climb Everyday that though I had Olga & Carlos take me out, I would trust any of their guides to take me on my next climbing adventure as I know safety is top priority when interviewing, hiring, and training their guides. I have full confidence that each and every member of the Rock Climb Everyday "family" would not only be competent & confident but also great fun to be around and to climb with. They are all about making your full experience pleasurable, memorable, and safe.
I enjoyed myself so much that I can't wait to come back to California & go climbing in Joshua Tree with Rock Climb Everyday! In fact, as soon as I got home, I purchased my own Black Diamond harness & helmet (which certainly is not necessary as Rock Climb Everyday has everything you will need, but for me, they have awakened a passion). I promise that once you give them a call and experience this kind of adventure, you will never forget it. Try it, & you may just come down from that mountain changed. Climb on my friends... Climb on! -

Rock Climbing for Beginners (Joshua Tree) October 12, 2016Wonderful instructors
I got a beginners climbing lesson in Joshua Tree with Olga, and it literally couldn't have been a better experience. I was the only student for the class, but they were nice enough to not cancel the class, so I had the good fortune of being Olga's only student for the lesson. She picked a great set of climbs for us to do, did a great job of encouraging me to push myself, training me to belay, and getting me super excited about climbing on a regular basis. -

Rock Climbing for Beginners (Joshua Tree) July 21, 2016BEAUTIFUL AND CHALLENGING ADVENTURE
I signed up for the Beginner Climbing Class - what a GREAT introduction to climbing. I learned a tonne of information! From how to tie my figure eight knot, tying into my belay, the different types of carabiners, how to do safety checks with a climbing partner...the list goes on. A wealth of knowledge, LOTS of climbing time to practice and implement. I would have liked to make my way to Joshua Tree but it was over 2 hours from where I was staying so I did Topagna Canyon and thought it was beautiful! -

Half-Day Rock Climbing Adventure (Joshua Tree) June 21, 2016Two Great Days of Climbing in Joshua Tree
Our guide Jim went above and beyond what we expected. We booked a Half Day Rock Climbing Adventure with 5 people. A 6th person joined us, which worked out well. Jim quickly set us up on two top ropes with easier routes to get going. We split into groups of three and Jim taught everyone how to belay. The third person of each group was a belay backup for safety. Jim provided lots of advice while we all climbed 3-4 routes. After that we could have been done considering we booked a half-day, but Jim took us to another location where we got to try out two more challenging routes.
I also spent another day later in the week alone with Jim. He gave me a great overview of anchor building and trad climbing. Exactly what I was looking for. Fit in a ton of instruction for a short period of time. Gave me a good base of knowledge to get me climbing outdoors.
I also found Rock Climb Every Day's website, booking process and communication to be fantastic. Highly recommended. -

All-Day Rock Climbing Adventure (Joshua Tree) June 14, 2016Fun rock climbing adventure in beautiful Joshua Tree
There were nine of us who set out from Palm Springs to meet with our rockclimbing guides, Adam and Jim. It was a beautiful and short drive. When we arrived at the park and hooked up with our guides we knew we were in for a treat. The area we climbed in was perfect for our group. Jim and Adam had three ropes going simultaneously. Each rope had different skill levels and challenges just right for our group of intermediate to beginner climbers. Jim was amazing with the kids and was able to encourage them to climb higher than they thought possible. It was great to see them achieve those victories on the wall!
Both guides were encouraging, knowledgable and professional. We had a blast and I was a hero for suggesting Climb a Rock Every Day company.
You can bet we will return and climb with them again. Thanks Eva for making booking with you such a pleasure. Special shout out to Jim for driving into town to return the sunglasses we forgot.
You you can bet we will return and climb with them again. You guys totally rock!!!
Keep on climbing! -

All-Day Rock Climbing Adventure (Joshua Tree) June 1, 2016Rappel session at Joshua Tree.
4 of us. I rapped once 30 years ago in the Marine Corps, my son did it once in 6th Grade Camp, and my wife and daughter have never done it. Didn't matter, our instructor/guide Jim was awesome. By the end of the session he had us rappelling down Cyclops. Can't say enough good things about Jim. Will recommend to all my friends. -

Half-Day Rock Climbing Adventure (Joshua Tree) May 20, 2016Trad Lead Class - Joshua Tree
Once again i had the pleasure of taking a class with RCED, in this case a trad lead class and once again i received the most professional instruction on the planet, that is why i take all my classes with RCED, Not only is the instruction the best, they keep you laughing and make the experience so rewarding and their (RCED's) unselfishness and willingness to help/advise and invite climbers they just met that day to climb with them is the trait I admire most about RCED ,they are there to help you become the best climber you can be. RCED every day folks.... -

Rock Climbing for Beginners (Joshua Tree) March 28, 2016We booked a rock climbing adventure in Joshua Tree with Olga. We were primarily going to have her climb with our 12-year old, who's an experienced indoor climber. However Olga also took our two other kids (6 and 9) up for some climbing and rappelling. She was awesome. She has a great personality, is super knowledgeable, and truly went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure we had a great day. Olga was prepared with everything we might need. I would absolutely recommend her and RCED to anyone interested in climbing. I'd give her more than 5 stars if I could!
