Think you’ve got what it takes to roll around on the ground with other adults in a cage while beating each other senseless?

It all starts with the fundamentals.

Rodrigo Freitas Brazilian Jiu Jitsu provides traditional BJJ training with a condensed focus on its core aspects. Like most BJJ classes, you’ll be learning techniques that focus on the ground game, where most mixed martial arts and real-world fist fights end up.

This means grappling and submission techniques, as well as escapes for those tricky situations where your opponent has an arm around your neck threatening to pop your head off. Of course, getting your opponent to the ground is important too, and you’ll learn plenty of punches, kicks, and takedowns to get them there.

In addition to learning a combat sport technique that provides real-world advantages for self-defense, you’ll also be getting a great workout, strengthening your core and building your stamina. Plus, martial arts study has numerous advantages off the mat, including increased discipline, focus, and awareness.
