Islands-and caves-of adventure await during this kayaking experience!
You’ll enjoy round-trip transportation from Santa Barbara Harbor to Santa Cruz Island, where you’ll disembark for surreal kayak exploration of the Painted Cave. As one of the largest and deepest sea caves in the world, the Painted Cave, so-called for its colorful rocks and algae, offers a prime paddling spot.
For those new to kayaking, your guide, in addition to offering insights into the natural history and marine ecology of the area, is there to give you paddling lessons, making this a great way to break into one of the world’s most popular watersports.
In addition, you’ll spend time exploring other sea caves along the island coast, and have free-time afterwards to swim, snorkel, and relax on the beach.
On your way out to Santa Cruz, you’ll also fuel up on a included breakfast, and enjoy a hot lunch on the boat before heading back. And if you really want to kick things up a notch, bring your own adult beverages to enjoy on the boat.
Although, we suspect this surreal adventure will be intoxicating enough without the added help!
Note: All necessary kayak gear, ferry boat ticket, meal and snorkeling gear are included in the activity. Please indicate if anyone is over 230 pounds in the "Special Request" box.
