Great place to learn the fine art of table tennis! With great coaches, you'll be a top player in no time! The tables are all pro quality and they have paddles you can rent as well. So whether you are a novice, a high rated player, or just a basement player, this is the spot for you!

Fun place with lots of inspirational people to play with.

I've been playing ping pong and taking lessons for about five years. Fell into it quite by accident thru friends and finding a Korean club in Cerritos where everyone seemed like an Olympic player - at least to me at the time.
I really liked the sport and decided to take two lessons a week - compulsive I am! After a couple years, I found Robofit in Torrance - now South Bay Table Tennis. It was a lot closer to me and I switched over for the convenience. I took my lessons there, as did my husband.
South Bay Table Tennis is a sports club, much like a tennis club or golf club. People go to play others who are serious about enjoying, competing and improving at the sport. There are group and private lessons - I think every day, weekly round robin competitions, and open tables to practice on with whoever is there, or your friends.
South Bay Table tennis is the only club of its kind in the area. SBTT is now inside the L.A. Galaxy sports center where there are amenities like bathrooms, vending machines, and free parking.
SBTT also runs USATT-sanctioned leagues and games where you can get or improve your USATT rating, if you are interested that. I don't play for that, I play for fitness and fun and because I really enjoy the sport. I recommend SBTT for anyone interested in playing regularly for fun and competition, and take some lessons to get better!

Located inside the Galaxy Soccer Center. I go (from Culver City) for both group and private lessons both of which I'm entirely happy with. Lloyd is a tirelessly enthusiastic coach, relaxed and funny. Hours are convenient and the prices are fair for both lessons and equipment. One star off because with the volleyball, soccer and (mostly bad) music over the P.A system. it can be loud enough to inhibit easy communication across the table. It's important to note that this is not something that SBTT controls. It's inherent in the function of this large facility and the music is under building management control not SBTT's. Weekdays in the afternoon are better in regards to the noise. The building has a small cafe (evenings and weekends), vending machines and plenty of well maintained bathrooms. Ample parking in a small lot in front and a large lot in the rear though you have to walk around to the front from the rear parking to enter the building.
