I visit the aquarium 2-3 times per year, and look forward to every next visit. They do a great job of making sure they keep things interactive. From feeding the stingrays to feeding the parakeets, you feel like you've made a connection with wildlife.
I love to watch the otters play, and the penguins waddle around in their exhibit. And the sea horses are so cool!
There's so much to see - sharks, sea turtles, a white alligator - and soooooooo much more.
I think it's a must see and one of New Orleans' best indoor activities/attractions.

I absolutely love this aquarium. It was a unique treat to spend an afternoon watching seahorses otters and penguins.
On a rainy day, I expected to see many people in front of each aquarium site. It is so well spread out that it wasn't overcrowded.
Each and every area was well worked out.
I want to go again and show my friends the highlights.

Loved this aquarium!!! The employees were so nice and interactive with the kids. It was well worth the money as there is so much to see and do! The walk to the aquarium was awesome and parking was easy! They literally have everything and had us as well as our kids on awwwwe the entire time! We had a great day and will be back for more! I'm sure we didn't even see everything they have to offer!

So much fun for the kiddos and the aquatic animal lovers alike. This aquarium was actually quite impressive. I am not really one for animals in enclosures, but I do admit that it does make a great way for us to learn about the many of them out there. My favorite part was trying to find the green anaconda that seemed to be in hiding or was quarantined for some reason. Just weeks before, I was at a zoo in Alabama (for my daughter's entertainment) and we got to interact with a yellow anaconda (yup, get in an enclosure with it), so I was really looking forward to the green anaconda. There was a lot of animals to see here and since my kiddo has seen a lot of animals in her almost 8 years of life, I think she was more entertained with running around with her friend. Anyway, the aquarium was easy to access from the interstate, really close to the river walk and the ticket lines went pretty quick. So many visual aesthetics that would keep kids engaged and entranced for a couple hours. Family-fun in New Orleans.

What an awesome aquarium! Great exhibits. This is a gem. Way larger than you'd think and full of amazing species.

This was such a FUN experience. I really appreciated the linear layout of the aquarium, as it made it easy to make sure we saw everything and it was easy to navigate. The parakeet enclosure was definitely my favorite. The birds are super friendly and it's just a delightful experience to turn around and have four cute little bird friends hanging out all over your body. I also really enjoyed the Gulf of Mexico exhibit.
