You're not gonna get to know the swamps of N'Awleans any better than this locally-owned family-run business that's been doing their thing since '89!
Your first stop will be The Laura Plantation -- once run by four Creole women, and most notably, Laura -- There you'll enter the harrowing history of slavery, viewing the quarters where humans were once entrapped into labor and hearing stories of all aspects of the plantation life.
You'll also hear other facts about how the book "Brer Rabbit" was written on the grounds, and how The Laura Plantation was nearly destroyed by fire back in 2003 and rebuilt to its original design using materials from antique homes that had been disassembled and sold off into pieces. What a history!
Take this tour to get to know the lay of the land. Your guide will be a local captain who has lived the Cajun Life, living in harmony with the ecosystem on a daily basis, so you're in good hands!
Note: Please leave your hotel name and information in the special requests box for pick up.
