You’re not gonna get to know the swamps of N’Awleans any better than this locally-owned family-run business that’s been doing their thing since ‘89!
Your first stop will be The Oak Alley Plantation -- which looks just like the movie, “Gone With the Wind.” There you'll enter the harrowing history of slavery, viewing the quarters where humans were once entrapped into labor, and hearing stories of all aspects of the plantation life.
You'll also hear other facts about the previous owners of The Plantation and the restoration efforts the place has endured. The very last owners were Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Stewart, and though Mr. Stewart died years before his wife, Mrs. Stewart created a non-profit organization to keep their gift open to the public for years to come.
But you’re not getting away from this one without a trip through the Bayou! Next up is the swamp -- Take this tour to get to know the lay of the land. Your guide will be a local captain who has lived the Cajun Life, living in harmony with the ecosystem on a daily basis, so you’re in good hands!
Note: Please leave your hotel name and information in the special requests box for pick up.
