    You're not gonna get to know N'Awleans any better than this locally-owned family-run business that's been doing their thing since '89! On this tour, you'll visit two plantations. One is The Laura Plantation, once run by four Creole women (most notably, Laura, whom it was named after). You'll also hear other facts about how the book "Brer Rabbit" was written on the grounds, and how The Laura Plantation was nearly destroyed by fire back in 2003 and rebuilt to its original design using materials from antique homes that had been disassembled and sold off into pieces. What a history! The other stop will be at The Oak Alley Plantation -- which looks just like the movie, "Gone With the Wind." The very last owners were Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Stewart, and though Mr. Stewart died years before his wife, Mrs. Stewart created a non-profit organization to keep their gift open to the public for years to come. In both Plantations, you are sure to enter the harrowing history of slavery, viewing the quarters where humans were once entrapped into labor, and hearing stories of all aspects of the plantation life. You'll also learn facts about the previous owners of The Plantations and the restoration efforts both grounds have endured. Either way, you're bound for a history lesson.
