Improvised Shakespeare Comedy Show (GENERAL ADMISSION)

    (2)
Based on one audience suggestion (a title for a play that has yet to be written), The Improvised Shakespeare Company creates a fully improvised play in Elizabethan style right before your eyes. Nothing is planned-out, rehearsed, or written. All of the dialogue is said for the first time, the characters are created as you watch, and if ever you're wondering where the story is going... so are they! You've never seen the Bard like this before. The Improvised Shakespeare Company (ISC), founded in 2005, has been performing its critically-acclaimed show every Friday night at the world famous iO Theater for over 10 years, and continues to entertain audiences around the globe with its touring company. The ISC has been featured at The Bumbershoot Music and Arts Festival, the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal, and most recently they blew crowds away at the BONNAROO Festival in Tennessee. It has been named Chicago's best improv group by both the Chicago Reader and the Chicago Examiner, and has received a New York Nightlife Award for "Best Comedic Performance by a Group. The ISC has also been honored by the Chicago Improv Foundation as its "Ensemble of the Year" and was named the Best Cultural Experience of 2014 by LA WEEKLY.
