The Best of Seneca West Wine Tour

Great things are growing (and fermenting) on the western shores of Seneca Lake. During this fruitful adventure, you'll get a chance to drink it all in, visiting three local wineries and a burger joint unlike any other. You'll begin by visiting Kemmeter Winery, a boutique winery started by a German whose familial winemaking roots go back to the mid-15 century. You'll meet the owner for a tour of his nascent operation, and sample his work during a guided tasting. Moving on to the FLX Wienery, you'll be treated to an artisanal lunch at what some have termed the "best hotdog stand in the world," where gourmet burgers, freshcut fries, and handmade sausages await your discovery. Oh, and some paired craft beers to keep that buzz going. After dining, you'll get back to the wining with a trip to Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyards, considered one of the top wineries in the United States. There, you'll experience a private tasting of white varietals, and a lesson on vineyard variations that will change your perception of...well, vineyard variations. You'll end your day at the popular Red Trail Ridge Winery, one of the most innovative producers in the region when it comes to varietal exploration. And yes, there will be many libations.
