About this Activity
Stop missing your chance to create a show-worthy work of art and instead unleash your creative energy with a few drinks. At this boozy art class, you will have the opportunity to work on drawings or paintings in front of a live model! The best part? Beer will be provided for you by the studio, so all you really have to do is show up with your art supplies and let out your inner, slightly-inebriated Picasso. Sounds pretty sweet!
Note: You must be at least 21 years old to attend class. No supplies? No problem! Materials are available for a small fee.

Ceramics for Beginners January 21, 2020I had a great time! The instructors allowed for creative freedom and is a great introduction to clay and the 92nd St Y. I am probably going to now take a more intensive course to expand my skills and start on the wheel!
Note, you will NOT be taking anything home. Majority of the time is handbuilding with brief time at the end for some wheel work but nothing you make will be fired, it's all returned to the clay bins. -

Ceramics for Beginners January 19, 2020The Ceramics for Beginners experience was amazingly satisfying! Ibrahim was an incredible instructor, he explained techniques so well and even shared some personal stories related to the craft. It was an eye opener to the field of ceramics. Truly an inspiring class!

Drink & Draw February 28, 2017Love this facility if I sit downstairs in the orchestra. Ideal for small quartets trios and cozy talks and lectures. The auditorium is a delight with its dedications to some of the masters if music. A separate room is available for refreshments and interviews. Easy to get to and surrounding need by a myriad of. Restaurants nearby for pre or post performance meals. A real gem and prices are generally fair.

Drink & Draw September 19, 2016Nothing rivals the 92nd street Y for culture, music the arts and plain fun. Coming here for a concert and lecture is a fun way to spend a late summer day on a Sunday. I highly recommend for tourists and locals alike.

Drink & Draw May 15, 2016The 92Y is one of my favorite places in New York City. Great lectures, events, and continuing education/enrichment courses. A true cultural institution right in the heart of the Upper East Side.

Drink & Draw November 25, 2015I had a great experience at 92nd Street Y when I had the pleasure of attending the event 'Richard Lewis in conversation with JB Smoove' back in May. The venue was intimate and the atmosphere relaxed. Coming from the UK and being a big fan of 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' it was a great experience to see these two comedians in revealing conversation. The next time I visit New York I will definitely check out the schedule and hopefully catch another event here.

Drink & Draw July 27, 2015I've been to quite a few events in the Kaufmann Concert Hall here, and I've been very impressed with the venue, the staff, and the quality of the programming on each separate occasion. The facilities at 92Y are really nice and clean, there's enough staff to answer everyone's questions and to get people moving and to their seat. The venue has clean bathrooms, and there are bars for refreshments outside the hall. The concert hall has comfortable seats and it's well-lit. The sound has always been good. For programs with audience Q&As, they've worked out a system of ushers passing out notecards during the discussion, which are then sorted and passed on stage at the program's end. I will continue to attend events at 92Y. There are so many wonderful events and the tickets are relatively inexpensive for the high quality of the programs!

Ceramics for Beginners March 25, 2015I have always wanted to do pottery. I love arts and craft. I love it all. Making something beautiful with you hands and showing it off is a wonderful feeling. Makes you proud. The instructor was patient and full of experience.
