A movie can have a great script, incredible actors, and a fantastic director, but if the cinematographer doesn’t know his stuff, it’s gonna look like junk!
During this intensive, hands-on class, Emmy award-winning DP and Lighting Designer Rick Siegel will teach you the fundamentals of lighting and framing.
You’ll focus primarily on interview portraiture, but the skills you’ll learn can be applied to any type of film making. Part discussion and part hands-on, this workshop will cover how to maximize your location, how to light the interviewee to the best effect, how to set up the camera, and how to make the right decisions on set that will positively affect the edit.
By the end of the class, you’ll have taken your filmmaking chops up a notch!
Note: Cameras will not be provided. Participants, however, are recommended to bring their own cameras for a hands on learning experience.
