Chinatown and Little Italy Food Fest January 12, 2020Our guide, Maryana was awesome. She knew her history and was very personable. Preferred the Italian choices to the Chinese options on the tour. She gave us great suggestions of things to do in the area after our tour.

Chinatown and Little Italy Food Fest December 23, 2019We found this tour by googling “things to do in nyc” and even when compared to our broadway show, the museums we attended and the restaurant we ate at; this was hands down the best and coolest thing we did on our trip. While the food and sites were great what made the difference for us was MaryAnna. From start to finish she not only exuded enthusiasm and knowledge but found a way to take eight strangers and make them feel like old friends. I have worked in the museum world, specifically in tours, for over a decade and MaryAnna is one of the best I have seen. Kudos kudos kudos!

Chinatown and Little Italy Food Fest November 8, 2019The food tour was a nice experience. You get to know the neighborhoods in a way that you would never get to know yourself. We enjoyed the food but also the background information about the neighborhoods and the history. A nice tour that we can recommend to everyone!

Chinatown and Little Italy Food Fest May 3, 2019Liz was a fantastic host and tour guide. Absolutely, loved the walking tour and the tastings that we had. The informative insight into the history of the Little Italy and Chinatown areas of NYC was greatly appreciated. Being able to sample from some of the gems located in the area was great. The food was fantastic. The Fresh pasta, mozzarella, dumplings, & tea were some of the best that I've had in a long while. I am so glad to have taken this tour.

Chinatown and Little Italy Food Fest March 14, 2013our Guide Alana took us on a fabulous journey thru little italy and china town....such great food and wonderful stories about how these neighborhoods came to be. Very colorful past for both parts of this incredible city. Food samples were hearty and we were full at the end.
if you go in the winter....bundle up as you are outside most of the time -

Chinatown and Little Italy Food Fest December 2, 2012This was my third NYC food tour, and was BY FAR the best! I wish I could give it more than 5 stars! Alana is knowledgeable and engaging about the city and the food, and the selections are excellent -- not just for the tasting, but for all the background I now have about what I was eating. I liked the other tours I took, but this was the best organized and informative, and she paced it well -- loved the little sit-down break in the middle. Alana generously gave us tips about places we couldn't fit into the tour, so I now know where to start when I go back and explore those neigborhoods on my own -- there are just so many places in NYC, it can be a little overwhelming, and Alana clearly has spent a lot of time here and done some "weeding" for us!

Chinatown and Little Italy Food Fest November 20, 2012Had a great time in New York, and this tour was one of the highlights of our trip. Not only the tastings were finger lickin' great (and generous too!), but Alana's stories about the histofy of the immigrants were an exhilarating addition to the tour! Highly recommend this tour!

Chinatown and Little Italy Food Fest November 5, 2012This past summer my son and I took this tour and I think of it more as a "city" tour rather than a real food tour. Yes, we did eat some tasty items, but there was only one out of the ordinary and memorable item - a cupcake with an unusual ingredient, that I would have to go back to try again. Now, as far as the neighborhoods we visited, our guides were full of knowledge and shared things that I would probably have some difficulty finding in regular tour books and their presentations were thoughtful and respectful to the city you know they both love. There was a restroom pit stop in the middle of the tour and we got to sit in an air conditioned restaurant on a very hot day and it was well timed. If you want an above average cultural tour with some tasty treats along the way (especially if this is your first visit to NY), this tour is for you. If you are a foodie, you may want to select a different tour, although the cupcake is something you will not find on any other tour...

Chinatown and Little Italy Food Fest August 12, 2012What a great experience! The tour was more then I could have imagined. The food was amazing and the history kept you on your toes. I have been wanting to take this food tour for a long time. It was well worth the wait and would encourage anyone looking for a great way to spend time with new or old friends to try this tour. I promise you will not regret it. I am already trying to find a way to get my husband to join me next time so that I can go again.
