Immerse yourself in a unique cooking experience. Discover what it’s like to work on the line in a functioning kitchen (if there’s a dining rush, you’ll be right in the middle of it all!). At Camaje Cooking, you will dive into the cooking scene as you learn the most used cooking technique in the world, sauteing. The class begins with a cooking preparation and menu overview. After you’re prepped and ready to go, you’ll begin sauteing as you create an entire menu based on this skill. Leave with the fundamentals and some advanced tricks to use your pans to prepare any food.

Abigail Hitchcock is the chef and sole owner of Camaje Bistro in Greenwich Village, and co-owner of Abigail Cafe & Wine Bar in Prospect Heights. She earned her blue ribbon cooking diploma from Peter Klump's New York Cooking School (now The Institute of Culinary Education) and has worked at The Tea Box at Takashimaya in New York, Vong in London and at BBC's Good Food Magazine. Abby also has worked at Martha Stewart Living television and spent three years as a recipe development chef. She is a certified sommelier.
