Dinners in the Dark June 22, 2019The best part was that it was very well organized. Insightful information from the restaurant owner. Unique experience with the blindfold. Good food. Not rushed.

Dinners in the Dark December 30, 2017Entertaining....there could have been more food...didnt care for the meat and most of the wine with the exception of the pinot noir...servers were very pleasant

Dinners in the Dark December 3, 2017Being blindfolded was very fun. Learning to use your senses in a new way was great. I also really enjoyed how you got the sense that everyone there was in a unique New York experience together. Toward the end we all sang songs together.

Sushi Basics October 24, 2016Was fun but the price was just too much. Also a bit disappointing this is all about rolls and no other variations (except for battle ships). Good thing is that I don't think anyone left hungry - so you had a lot of food to make rolls with ~
On a side note, this is very much western style sushi and taught in a French restaurant. -

Dinners in the Dark October 17, 2016Very unique experience. Highly recommended for people who are completely open to something new. Menu was a surprise but nothing was out of the ordinary and they check for preferences. My girlfriend and I loved to guess each dish.

Dinners in the Dark October 7, 2016Sat next to a large group that made so much noise that it ruined the experience and also felt food was mediocre.

Dinners in the Dark October 2, 2016It's a great idea, I feel like if your blind folded you should be able to grab your food easier. Also, since your blindfolded everybody else speaks louder so it becomes harder to hear your date.

Sushi Basics April 16, 2015Good experience. The class was very cool and good vibes. We were taught very well. We also got to eat the sushi as well as a complimentary glass of wine. Only problem was that it was taught in an american manner. We weren't taught by a japanese chef and the japanese traditions.

Sushi Basics March 30, 2015Abby was so knowledgeable, passionate, and able to express things in ways that were easy to understand without being patronizing. This was an incredible way to spend an afternoon, and I'll definitely be looking into other classes at Camaje!

Sushi Basics February 13, 2015Chef Abby was an amazing and knowledgable instructor. She gave us great recommendations on sushi ingredients to buy and techniques.
I walked away from the class ready to buy all of the supplies so that I could make rolls at home!! -

Sushi Basics December 9, 2014I loved this class. I gave it to someone as a birthday present and it really was the perfect gift!! It was a very intimate setting, in a small Soho restaurant. The only thing i would say, is that if you are a germaphobe- this is not the class for you. The class shares a few pots of rice and everyone grabs it with their hands instead of utensils(because there are no utensils handed out) But, if you are like me and that doesn't bother you, then i would highly recommend this class! :)

Sushi Basics June 22, 2014It was great! Loved that is was very hands on. I've taken several cooking classes at different schools around the city and sometimes you don't always get to make everything on the menu, but we did here so that was great. Also loved the small class size. Abby was really nice and the class was very laid back.

A Moroccan Table October 12, 2012I very recently booked a corporate team building event at Camaje and all 14 of us had a brilliant day. Chef Abby could not have been nicer, more knowledgeable or more accommodating; she basically told me to name a cuisine and she could build us a menu around it. We wound up doing Moroccan which was delicious (food so good we could hardly believe we had been able to produce it) and it was decent value for the price too as food, drink, tax and tip were all included. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to do a cookery day in a real life restaurant environment.
