I had a blast and actually learned a little (maybe a lot) along the way too. Gildo was a great host, guide, and instructor. I will most definitely take another tour with him.

My husband bought me this tour for my birthday. What a great tour!!
Our guide was Rob who was amazing. I'm relatively new to photography and had trouble with night shots. He gave me the best pointers and step by step instructions. I took some pretty good photos of Radio City and the Chrysler building. Would definitely recommend and hope to take another tour soon!

I signed up for the night tour (with Jean-Francois as a tour guide). His passion for photography was really contagious. He helped me take great shots and took the time (even though other participants in the group were way more advanced than me) to explain me all the technicalities with regard to ISO, shutter speed and aperture, so I could understand why some pictures I would shoot was too dark, blurry,... I now feel more comfortable using the manual function on my camera and fully enjoy what photography has to offer. It also helped that, even after 13 years in NYC, I got to discover the City in a new fascinating way.
I will definitely recommend this to other photos aficionados as well as to amateurs like me who fully want to take advantage of their cameras.

I attended the night tour with Zoe last night and had the most amazing time. I feel so much more comfortable playing with my camera.
The only location I expected to shoot at that we didn't was Times Square but I will definitely make a trip there myself and use what I have learnt.

I wanted to do something a bit different when I recently visited NY, and found the Night tour that was offered. What a blast! Even though it was 30 degrees F out and snowy/slippery, we had a great time. I had some experience already, but it was fun learning new techniques. One nice thing was that it got me to get over the "fear" of lugging a big tripod around at night in the middle of the city, plus more importantly it inspired me to get creative. I took many shots in the days after. If I was in NY longer, I would've tried at least one of the other tours as well. Should mention that Zoe was personable and patient, and the company was responsive and seemed to care about your experience.

I booked the night tour based on positive reviews, and was definitely not disappointed! I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of technical level, but I would say that even intermediate shooters would benefit. In my case, I was already comfortable with manual mode but had not really tugged my tripod out much in the city at night - the tour helped me to get over that "fear", and really inspired me for the rest of my trip.
Having a plan for where to stop and exactly what formula to use at each location turned out to be a good thing. A different technique was used at almost every stop, and there was enough time to try and get creative. Plus, you get pretty much guaranteed "cool" shots you will love to show your friends.
My guide Zoe was personable and patient, and was especially helpful with how to get creative shots. I found the company to be responsive, and they seemed to really care about providing a good experience for their clients. If I had more time, I would've tried one of the other tours for sure.
