Statue & Skyline Cruise May 16, 2023Wonderful experience every time I attend, staff is always pleasant and the views are gorgeous! I have loved seeing how the skyline for NY and NJ has changed over the years and look forward to the new changes coming ahead. My mother in law always looks forward to when we take her out on the water.

Live Jazz City Lights Sail June 14, 2021I had to update my reservation several times (needing to add a couple extra people) and Vimbly customer service was always prompt, kind, and perfectly helpful! Really impressed. The City Lights Sail itself was absolutely fabulous! The crew was extremely pleasant and we got lucky and had the whole boat to ourselves. Would very highly recommend this experience to others.

Sunset Sail (Sunday to Wednesday) October 10, 2020Twas awesome! The vibes were great, staff was friendly, atmosphere was superb. Staff interacted with everyone, but in a non intrusive way, allowing people to just chill and enjoy the ride. They were willing to take pictures when we passed the Statue of Liberty and everyone was just happy. Dope 2 hour date with my boyfriend. Would definitely recommend.

Day Sail (Sunday to Friday) September 23, 2019Honestly the best part was that we were just left alone to enjoy the experience. The crew was timely with serving drinks and very pleasant, but I really loved the lack of announcements or "guided-tour"
vibe. The boat was beautiful and well maintained, and everyone was pleasant. -

Champagne Sunset Cruise August 23, 2018I wanted to go on a date with my wife on Wednesday. I was talking to Sam Lundin last weekend and he told me to use Vimbly to find things to do in NYC. I went online Wednesday afternoon, saw the sunset cruise booked it through Vimbly (it was quick and simple) and we had an AWESOME time on the water sipping champagne as we circled the Statue of Liberty. Vimbly rocks!!

Around Manhattan Brunch Cruise July 9, 2018This was an amazing experience! The weather and crew were amazing. The Captain narrated pretty much the entire time while we went around the entire island. You get enough food to munch on throughout the trip. My friend really enjoyed her birthday gift!

Wine & Cheese Pairing Cruise September 2, 2017Absolutely loved the America 2.0 sailboat. So much better than the big boats. The staff was wonderful. We couldn't of asked for a better trip to see the Statue of Liberty. Will definitely go on again when in New York.

Wine & Cheese Pairing Cruise August 27, 2017Decided to do something completely different with a few friends on a beautiful summer night. This sunset cruise exceeded all of our expectations! We had a great time & got to see our city from a different perspective! The crew was great& the boat was lovely. Going to try a fall foliage cruise this Fall. Definitely worth doing!

Wine & Cheese Pairing Cruise August 22, 2017AMAZING. Crew was on point, kept drinks refilled, and took care of my shellfish allergy. The sightseeing was gorgeous too, and a sail occurring right at sunset is everything I could have wanted. For something a little different, it was perfect. There was no over-rehearsed, cheesy lines about NYC or any intrusion. It was casual, allowed you to speak with your guests or the crew if you'd like, and otherwise enjoy food, drink, and the sights. The sushi wasn't filling, so pencil in apps beforehand or afterwards at another place in Chelsea.

Wine & Cheese Pairing Cruise July 25, 2017This was a great experience all around. Staff was extremely friendly, the light music they played (James Brown & Otis Redding) was perfect, and the excursion itself was tremendously fun. I had a great time and would definitely do this again - my parents are coming to town soon, maybe I'll take them along...

Wine & Cheese Pairing Cruise July 2, 2017I took one of their daytime sail tours to treat my brother to something a little bit different. It was an amazing and soothing experience that I definitely recommend. This sail is good for sharing with friends or having a nice evening out with your special someone, if you opt for the sunset sail.

Wine & Cheese Pairing Cruise May 12, 2017Come see the New York City skyline as you never have before! Architectural history and even a trip through a turning turnstile bridge in the wooded end of Manhattan! The architect who leads the tour is an encyclopedia of knowledge. Very elegant and well done.

Wine & Cheese Pairing Cruise (Weekday) February 27, 2017This water tour was amazing! It was so informative! Our guide could answer any question we had. The boat was beautiful and comfortable. There was plenty of room to walk around and we could go outside for a more up lose view of landmarks. The food and wine a perfect addition. What a wonderful way to see Manhatten! Would definitely do again!!!

Wine & Cheese Pairing Cruise (Weekday) February 27, 2017Beautiful boat, spotlessly clean, very friendly and courteous staff, cheapest drinks we found in New York.. what's not to like! Wonderful way to see the skyline at dusk. Well worth the money. No commentating but after a day on the bus tour we were all commentated out anyway. Not to be missed!

Highly recommended to both NYC visitors and locals. -

Wine & Cheese Pairing Cruise (Weekday) January 15, 2017This boat trip was totally worth the money. Just as a friendly recommendation: not the best for kids or teenagers because the boat ride is looong; even for us adults we started to loose our attention span. It is very relaxing though (for people who enjoy being on a boat) and you do get a beautiful journey of New York City and the boroughs. The staff was super super nice, awesome customer service.

Around Manhattan Brunch Cruise December 6, 2016I can't say enough about the great experience my family and I had on the Manhattan II brunch cruise. The boat was amazing, the crew was friendly and knowledgeable, and it all came together for a perfect day. Thank you.

Around Manhattan Brunch Cruise October 23, 2016Outstanding Time-out with your loved once: family and friends. Manhattan Yacht is very comfortable to travel on Hudson. We traveled in rainy and windy day, so inside cabin is made all out of glass, we did not miss out beauty of the Fall outside while being inside in comfort and with climate -control. We enjoyed brunch and had amazing time. Staff is very friendly. It is great trip for Adults to celebrate any occasion.

Around Manhattan Brunch Cruise October 13, 2016I will be recommending the brunch cruise to any friend who asks about NYC activities. It was great.
We went on a Sunday morning as the remmenants of hurricane Matthew were bringing rain and 20mph winds. Not the best conditions for a brunch cruise, but it was great!
The seating is very spread out, not packed in at all. The food is good and plentiful. The drinks (first one free) are basic and a bit pricey but not too much. The boat is in great condition, it even has glass roof so you have a wonderful view.
The 2.5hr trip went all around Manhattan with some minor narration...just a good relaxing ride with good food... -

Champagne Sunset Cruise October 2, 2016Very relaxing way to see the skyline and Lady Liberty!

Around Manhattan Brunch Cruise September 26, 2016Took my two adult daughters for brunch on the sailing America 2.0. It was a spectacular Fall morning! Easily ordered tickets on line. Staff was friendly and accommodating when we arrived. The "sail" was beautiful as we went to the Statue of Liberty. Brunch was good for the ship and plenty of food and drink. I love that we weren't overpacked on board. It truly was the perfect way to get out on the water and enjoy the views. Highly recommend it!

Sunset Sail (Sunday to Wednesday) September 24, 2016It was a beautiful trip, and the staff was terrific. Only thing stopping me from rating 5 stars is that I feel like the boat was slightly over-crowded. Would have been perfect with ~20% fewer people, so that you could move about at ease.

Live Jazz City Lights Sail September 24, 2016Very nice cruise, awesome crew and beautiful night!

Around Manhattan Brunch Cruise September 12, 2016Loved this 3 hour leisurely brunch cruise. It was so much fun to see everything from the boat.
Great 4-course buffet includes smoked salmon, Belgium waffles, vegetarian quiche, sausages, ham, kale salad, roasted potatoes with cauliflower and a spectacular dessert selection.
There is a kitchen on board and everything is fresh and delicious.
Detailed maps to view during cruise so you can see highlights/sights on Manhattan Island, Brooklyn, Queens, NJ, etc.
This is great for everyone - solo, families, couples, special occasions. -
Kim J.
Around Manhattan Brunch Cruise September 6, 2016This was a fantastic tour on the Manhattan, a beautifully restored yacht. We've done the Circle Line tour a couple of times (also very good) so we thought we'd go for something smaller and a bit more upmarket.
The small team of staff were terrific, attentive and knowledgable.
I didn't really expect the food to be as good as it was: a four to five course buffet with plenty of choices and plenty of food! A true brunch selection including being able to make your own waffles.
The yacht has great airconditioning, but you could also open the windows for better photos, and there is also room outsite at the front.
I took my 19 year old son, who predicted he would be the youngest by about 50 years, but that wasn't the case, it was a good mix of people! -
Lori H.
Sunset Sail (Sunday to Wednesday) August 19, 2016I took my 2 boys as a birthday gift to myself and we had a blast! The crew was fun and energetic and the scenery amazing! Would highly recommend!

Around Manhattan Brunch Cruise June 8, 2016We took the brunch cruise which was right under 3 hours and circled manhattan. I have nothing but great things to say about our excursion. Well worth the money. The food was very good, the views were spectacular, and it was nice to not be packed in with 100 other people trying to get pics of the sights. Enjoyed the information the captain gave throughout the trip and met some great people. It was the highlight of our trip and would recommend to anyone.

Champagne Sunset Cruise March 20, 2016Great experience. My girlfriend loved it. We showed up 15 minutes late for the 6pm departure and thought that it was a sunk cost, since the website said no refunds or rescheduling. However, they were very cool about it and let us reschedule for the 8:15pm. The views were great and it was really nice length out on the water.
-

Champagne Sunset Cruise March 13, 2016The best part the layout of the boat. I really liked how much space there was to move around and sit. Wether it was large groups or just a couple.

Wine & Cheese Pairing Cruise December 13, 2015Amazing time... The view was amazing.. And Perfect weather. The pictures on the website don't do this boat justice.. Definitely would consider going back.. ;-)

Champagne Sunset Cruise October 19, 2015Phenomenal! It was a cold Fall day, and we spent the trip indoors with heating vents and were presented with several drinking choices such as red/white wine, champagne, and so on. We ended up choosing hot chocolate, which was served with whip cream and had a kick of cinnamon... it was delicious and the setting was extremely cozy. This couldn't have been a better experience.
-

Around Manhattan Brunch Cruise October 5, 2015The boat was so clean and nice with great visibility of all the scenery as we took the tour around Manhattan. The food was good and served buffet style with multiple courses and if a plate of something ran out, they immediately replaced it with more. Great service and overall a fun time!
-

Evening Jazz Cruise October 27, 2014Yesterday's evening cruise was absolutely amazing! The sun set perfectly, the weather was reasonably moderate, and the band was great. The only criticism I have (constructive, of course) would be for the jazz to be a bit slower and soothing rather than an upbeat tempo. My date thoroughly enjoyed it as well!

Around Manhattan Architecture Cruise October 18, 2014Our experience was superb. As third generation New Yorkers who thought they knew everything there was to know about our beloved city, it was a font of new information. We shall recommend it to our friends and visitors with pleasure. Our guide was expert and personable, and the crew and staff just great. We salute you. Keep up the good work and high standard.

Live Jazz City Lights Sail September 1, 2014It was definitely a great time. The crew was very respectful and helpful. The view was incredible. The city is beautiful at night. The biggest problem anyone'll have is getting someone to take pictures of them and their date.

Champagne Sunset Cruise May 27, 2014It was beautiful. Even though it was thunderstorming. The only thine I didn'tlike was the older looking blonde lady who worked there that said if we didn't moveover for others, she would choose who moves.. I didn't like that. But other than that when the rain was cmoing down on us fromthe top of the boat, through the glass, the red head helpedus. She was nice. Over all, not a bad experience at all.

Champagne Sunset Cruise May 14, 2014The staff was fantastic and the scenery was great. We will likely do it again when it gets warmer out, but the boat was incredible. Like a floating living room. We got right up next to the Statue of Liberty and drank wine and champagne the whole time. No complaints whatsoever.

Statue & Skyline Cruise July 3, 2013My dad and I had a great time on the boat ride! The captain mentioned just the right amount of info about landmarks we passed by/under and didn't make the experience feel touristy. The staff was awesome as well. I really appreciated them offering to take photos for us as we passed by the Statue of Liberty. Will definitely do again when I return to NYC.

Evening Jazz Cruise June 24, 2013We arrived with our 3 teens in NYC on Father's Day and booked the lower Manhattan cruise for Sunday evening since the Statue of Liberty would not be open while we were there. The cruise line was sooo much nicer than the Circle Cruise Line and was only about $5 more per person. There were only about 40 people on our entire boat, so it felt very personal. Plus, they had a cash bar on board which was nice while cruising around. The bartender even came by and gave us tableside service. The weather was a little windy, but the inside area is completely glassed-in, so we could see everything without being blown away. Wonderful afternoon with the family.
-

Day Sail (Saturday) June 24, 2013My wife and I and our 3 kids and good friends with their 2 kids had an incredible time last Thursday. Weather was perfect, wind was favorable, beer was cold, captain and crew welcoming and fun! The captain even let our kids "drive" the boat.
We would highly recommend this for families or really anyone for a great afternoon. It was the highlight of our whole trip. -
Shore S.
Day Sail (Saturday) June 23, 2013We had a great time on the day sail. The staff was great and they made it a wonderful event. Vimbly made the booking process seamless and was very responsive with my order confirmation. I will definitely go through Vimbly for my next NYC excursion.

Day Sail (Saturday) June 18, 2013By far, the coolest thing I've ever done in NYC! It was a perfect NY day! We had originally planned on one of those other sight seeing boat tours but opted for this instead. NO REGRETS! Captain Andrew and his staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. Even if you're a local, I highly recommend!
-
Jim L.
Around Manhattan Architecture Cruise June 17, 2013Two guides from the American Institute of Architecture take turns telling you about the history of NYC's development, using the round-the-island trip as a chance to explain everything from commercial development to residential development to parks to bridges to the impacts (and lessons) of Super Storm Sandy. It was a 2 3/4 hour college level course with the city providing the visual aides. And meanwhile the friendly and efficient crew of Classic Harbor Line is busy keeping you well juiced and well fed. Forget the Circle Line -- if you want to learn something and be in an uncrowded, very pleasant environment, take this boat tour around Manhattan.
-
Edshred .
Sunset Sail (Sunday to Wednesday) June 12, 2013Right to the point. The Cruise is a simple, no frills attraction. They take off from the pier, go south on the river to the lower end of Manhattan, then turn around and head back. It offers nice views of the Statue of Liberty, Freedom tower and, of course, lower Manhattan and the Jersey side cityscape. If you haven't done it, you should. Once you've done it, there's no need to ever do it again. The crew was nice and even allowed some of the folk that sat to the rear to steer.
-

Day Sail (Saturday) June 10, 2013Family sailing on Sunday afternoon. Absolutely one of the best days in NYC. The Captain and crew were professionall and personable, boat was beautiful and it was a delightful outdoor experience in a fast paced busy city.

Sunset Sail (Sunday to Wednesday) June 5, 2013Just did the sunset cruise aboard the America 2.0 with my beloved and an aunt who was visiting from France. What a beautiful experience! Everything was perfect, boat, crew, captain, drinks, sights... A spectacular moment that I would like to share with more visitors. And I will!! Worth every penny!

Sunset Sail (Sunday to Wednesday) May 30, 2013On May 29, I took the 7 p.m. Sunset Sail on America 2.0 Operated by Classic Harbor Line (SailNYC). It was the perfect time of day with a fantastic crew and captain (Andrew). When we started out it was daylight. We hit the Statue of Liberty about sunset, went over to the Brooklyn side a bit, and then back around, so that by the time we were once again on the West side of Manhattan, the city's lights were on.
While it wasn't a guided tour, the crew members were happy to share lots of great information or just leave us alone. We brought a picnic and enjoyed the drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) they had on board. The crew was great about helping us take photos and capture the amazing scenery.
I will definitely do this again when I have visitors in town again. While I live in NYC, there is nothing like seeing the huge, gleaming city on board a beautiful, well-maintained sailboat. -
Sam S.
Day Sail (Saturday) May 29, 2013My girlfriend and I went for a sail through Classic Harbor Line on a Sunday afternoon and had a really nice time. The staff were professional and friendly and provided us with free drinks. Many great views of lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. And it was great being in a classic sailing yacht, with only the sound of the wind. It was a windy day, but the boat felt really stable. Really enjoyed the experience and would recommend to others!

Champagne Sunset Cruise May 25, 2013I'm originally from NY. I came for the holiday weekend with my kids. We were originally going to take the Circle Line tour, even though it was a little touristy., A friend of mine suggested this instead. We had a great time. The captain and crew were terrific. Very friendly. Very informative. I'm glad we decided to do this and I'd highly recommend it.

Sunset Sail (Sunday to Wednesday) May 20, 2013I purchased tickets for my daughter and her boyfriend when they visited New York. They had a wonderful trip, managed to sail all the way, and as this caters for smaller numbers they had great views and a fabulous time. The staff were friendly and offered plenty of drinks, but I was disappointed that they were not offered the champagne that was advertised. It didn't bother them though and they reckoned that this trip was the highlight of their visit.

Statue & Skyline Cruise May 20, 2013Great views of the City and surrounding islands with extremely interesting commentary. In our group we had people in their early 20s to people in their 70s and everyone enjoyed the trip. The interior of the cabin was extremely comfortable and it felt like our own private tour of the city.

Day Sail (Saturday) May 6, 2013We signed up for the day sail last saturday and it was a bit of a windy day. We were expecting to be the youngest people on the boat, and we were expecting a sort of sleepy relaxed experience. Not so! Our trip was a little more of an adventure than I was expecting and it was tons of fun. The staff was knowledgeable, nice, and the drinks were a nice touch. I definitely recommend this for a sunny day. Sit in the back if you want a steadier ride - we didn't and didn't realize it would be more intense near the front :)

Around Manhattan Architecture Cruise May 4, 20132.75 hour cruise around manhattan island. An architect talks for the entire time, commenting on buildings and other items of interest. it is a small boat so everyone has a great view. Conversation is still possible, but why would you when you have the sky line of New York. Also, this cruise qualified for continuing education credits for architects.
I recommend this highly. -

Champagne Sunset Cruise April 30, 2013Had a very nice time with family from out of town. The ride really showcased the city from the water, where you get the best view. The captain and crew were very knowledgeable.

Sunset Sail (Sunday to Wednesday) April 30, 2013Wonderful sunset sail aboard the Adirondack! Romantic, or a fun way to spend an evening with a small group of friends. This is not a tour - no historical/building commentary - just a wonderful way to enjoy the sites and the company of the people you're with. We were seated near the rear of the boat (cushioned area near the 'steering wheel') and had a really nice discussion with the captain about the boat itself and sailing in NYC. Be sure to bring a jacket as it gets chilly and if you do get seasick, sit near the rear of the boat, which is less choppy. Wine and a nice selection of NY state craft beers are served throughout the trip and included in the price. I suggest bringing sandwiches or snacks to go along with the beverages. There isn't much room to spread out picnic-style, though, so bring something you can easily balance on your lap. They do pass out fleece blankets but the wind can get chilly so bring some layers, especially for your shoulders. There is a small traditional nautical (pump toilet) bathroom on board.

Around Manhattan Architecture Cruise April 15, 2013We've been on numerous boat tours around Manhattan and throughout the harbor. We love being on the water near the city. This was "tops" in all of our experience because of the small size and elegance of the boat, type of people on board who were engaged and interested, and the most informative and pleasant staff. The architectural emphasis was unique -- far more than simply pointing out the sights. Heartily recommend for locals and tourists of all types!

Statue & Skyline Cruise April 13, 2013We had a great 90minutes. The boat was beautiful and only half full which made it even better. The crew was very nice and the commentary not invasive. My 7 year old even enjoyed it and never once uttered 'are we there yet'.

Around Manhattan Architecture Cruise April 11, 2013We did the Around Manhattan Architecture Tour. We had a wonderful tour, and learned a lot about the history and architecture of Manhattan and environs. Our guide spoke nonstop for about 2.5 hours, an amazing wealth of knowledge about just about everything we passed. The crew was very helpful and provided tasty snacks and drinks. Tour included nice loop by Governor's Island and Statue of Liberty, and unusual views from Spuyten-Duyvil canal and Harlem river. Especially interesting was our guide's detailed history of the bridges over all the rivers, something you don't always notice. For a seasoned New Yorker or first-time tourist, highly recommended.

Around Manhattan Architecture Cruise April 10, 2013We took this tour on the most beautiful, sunny afternoon so far this year. The boat (Manhattan) is a beautiful and elegant craft which was very well handled by the experienced crew. We had booked the Architecture tour which took 2 hours and 45 minutes and was interesting the whole time. You got one drink included in the price and a small buffet of fruit, cheese and cake too. There was a bar from which you could buy extra drinks. The guide who led the tour talked us through lots of the buildings and bridges we could see from the boat; he really knew his stuff. We had an excellent view of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, plenty of photo opportunities. I now know the meaning of those funny structures on the top of all of the buildings! Thoroughly recommended.

Champagne Sunset Cruise April 4, 2013It wasn't much of a day when we went out but the atmosphere on the boat was very nice & relaxed with great service. The trip was very long for the price & went at a nice comfortable pace. Would highly recommend.

Champagne Sunset Cruise March 30, 2013The champagne cruise was tons of fun. They only sell about 30 tickets per trip so there is plenty of room inside and out for everyone. It was a little bit cold on the day that we went so we sat inside and the windows were big all around so it was easy to see the views. The champagne was good and the cash bar had a sizable selection. I enjoyed the beer selection as well which included stone ipa, yuengling light, and a lager i cant remember the name of. Also the crew was super nice and the captain pointed out various facts about the sights which was interesting as well. All around great and highly suggested.

Statue & Skyline Cruise March 16, 2013We recently took the Saturday afternoon tour while celebrating a friend's engagement. We thoroughly enjoyed it - the crew was attentive and lively, the guide was interesting and informative, and the tour itself was the perfect length of time. The boat is smaller, intimate and comfortable, but not crowded. I would recommend this to anyone.

Around Manhattan Architecture Cruise December 31, 2012Took an enjoyable Around Manhattan Architecture guided tour. Our guides were very knowledgeable and very passionate about architecture. I have a new perspective on this wonderful city. The Harbor Line crew were very courteous - I'll be sure to return with family and friends in the future! A great way to see New York.

Statue & Skyline Cruise November 19, 2012Fabulous! The Manhattan and it's captain and crew are 1st rate. Seeing NY from the water is amazing. We took in so much. The Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges are true engineering feats. Photo opps abound in passing the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the NYC skyline. Worth every penny.

Around Manhattan Architecture Cruise November 19, 2012My husband and I had never taken a boat cruise in NYC before and decided on the Architectural Cruise around Manhattan. This was a little more civilized than some of those cruises that are jam packed with people. Well worth the price for a more intimate setting. Our tour guide was an architect who provided us with oodles of fascinating information. A bonus was the light buffet and the glass of wine or beer included in the price. Lots of great photo opportunities.

Champagne Sunset Cruise November 5, 2012My husband and I did the Sunset Champagne Cruise on the "Manhattan" while on our first visit to NYC. The cruise was lightly narrated which was great, meaning we got to learn a little about the sights we were cruising past while also being able to talk amongst ourselves. It was lovely to see the city light up as dusk while sipping on champagne, would highly recommend!

Around Manhattan Architecture Cruise November 1, 2012Best way to appreciate the architecture around the island, we loved NYC and have visited numerous times before and we really liked to see this way. The accommodations were comfortable indoor with large windows and with outdoor area, sure we will be come back.

Champagne Sunset Cruise October 26, 2012My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on the cruise down the Hudson River. I can't comment on the refreshments because we spent the whole time on deck viewing the impressive Manhattan skyline at night. The evening was clear, calm and not too cold (October 26) - only a few nights before Hurricane Sandy hit. Seeing the Statue of Liberty at night was unforgettable. The crew were friendly, professional and seemed to enjoy what they were doing which is always nice to be around. If you have a free evening in Manhattan, then this is totally worth doing.

Day Sail (Saturday) October 25, 2012Took our husbands for a day cruise on the Schooner Adirondak for their birthdays. It was a picture perfect day for a sail. Crew and captain were friendly and more than willing to chat about the NYC landmarks. We had a bottle of champagne provided by the crew to celebrate. 2 hours seemed to go way too fast on this cruise. The couple we were with have done this cruise 3 times and still love it.

Champagne Sunset Cruise October 18, 2012The staff is really what did it for us, they were fantastic. We went on the sunset champagne cruise and loved the city view from the boat. It was not overly touristy at all. It is a small boat so you don't feel cramped or overwhelmed. So happy we added this to out trip to NYC.

Statue & Skyline Cruise October 8, 2012It was excellent! We had an overcast day but that didn’t matter one bit. The boat is really neat and we just kind of rocked out there on the water as we headed past the Statue, Ellis Island, the bridges, etc. We were out for 1.5 hours and it seemed to be just enough time to enjoy the water and feel like we got away from it all, without getting bored. The crew was very friendly and laid back and offered us drinks, helped with taking pictures, and still managed to give us privacy. This is not one of those boats where you’re crammed in with 100 other tourists. We all had plenty of room to sit or move around, and there was both an open area and an inside area for sitting. I highly recommend you take at least one tour with this company. Don’t forget to tip!!

Sunset Sail (Sunday to Wednesday) October 5, 2012I had booked this for my husband and I from home not knowing exactly what it would be like, but we both enjoyed it very much. A nice way to see the Manhattan skyline before and after sunset, the Statue of Liberty and going under the three bridges. We both liked that it was a small setting. We were fortunate enough to have great weather so we enjoyed most of the tour on deck =)

Sunset Sail (Sunday to Wednesday) August 23, 2012Took the two hour sunset cruise on America 2.0 Cant say enough good things about this experience. Crew was very friendly and accommodating, boat was a beauty, and the backdrop was unbelievable. Well worth the expense. A must do for families or even small corporate outing.
Highly recommend it!! -

Around Manhattan Architecture Cruise August 22, 2012If you are looking to take a special tour of Manhattan Island from a different perspective and don't want to be crowded with a ton of tourists, then take a ride on the Manhattan schooner from the Classic Harbor Line at Chelsea Piers. The narrators have a passion for history and architecture and share their vast knowledge with you to make the trip memorable. We learned about many of the iconic buildings on the island but also the history of each neighborhood up and down the river. Each bridge that we sailed under was described in detail with interesting tidbits and color. Plus, as an added bonus, they gave you a beer or glass of wine as well as some appetizers to keep you happy. The 3 hours went flying by, as we cruised through so many sights, even getting a close-up view of the Statue of Liberty without standing in the long lines. Get a seat near the bow for an awesome viewpoint.

Sunset Sail (Sunday to Wednesday) August 6, 2012Really enjoyed the sunset cruise I took a few weeks ago. My friends and I paid for the nicer boat, and we definitely made the right choice. The ride was comfortable and fun, and the complimentary alcohol was pretty decent stock (Brooklyn Summer in cans, a chardonnay that I didn't hate, and champagne that didn't leave me with a headache. They also some other beer choices and red wines).
The views are breath-taking! We were lucky to get a really dramatic sunset, with sun filtering through darkening clouds right as we reached our closest point to the Statue of Liberty.
The other awesome thing is that, while alcohol is served, this definitely isn't a booze cruise. No one gets rowdy, and the crowd is mature.
Do know that you are on an actual sailboat, so the seating isn't the most comfortable, and you might get wet as the boat goes through wakes and little waves. -

Day Sail (Saturday) July 25, 2012This.. was really fun. My girlfriend and I were on the Schooner America, and the overall experience was fantastic. We had amazing views of the city, and the entire 2 hours was very entertaining and exciting. We sailed basically to the Statue of Liberty before turning back, and we were able to see downtown NY from up close. Also some good views of Jersey City, but we aren't interested in that, right?
Another point of interest is that they serve free beer, soda, and water. At first, they told us we could pick one, but they kept offering.. so I had 3 beers. It was a microbrewery (the name escapes me), but it was definitely quite tasty. I had 2 hefeweizens and a pale ale.
For those who get a bit seasick, perhaps this isn't for you. The waters can be rough at times, and this is a 'sailboat' after all. But, it was really fun to experience riding on the edge, so to speak, and after a few beers, one definitely forgets about that. This was definitely a great way to spend 2 hours on a nice sunny day. -

Sunset Sail (Sunday to Wednesday) July 9, 2012My husband and I went on a sunset cruise on the Manhattan. We were in town to celebrate our anniversary. This was the best part of the trip. The crew was very friendly. They offered to take pictures and served us champagne. The narration on the boat was informative but not over the top. The boat itself was beautiful. We will definitely do this again!
