Meet the MET, and hear the stories it has to tell, during a walking tour designed for families!

You’ll hear all about how stories can be told through art during three hours of museum exploration. The guide on this three-hour educational stroll will be a specialist in visual thinking strategy with a background in museum education, and a penchant for appealing to primary and middle school-aged children.

You and your family will be introduced to a broad range of works and techniques for reading the narrative they tell, including ancient Greek sculpture, Renaissance altarpieces, Medieval armor, American portraiture, and Impressionist landscapes. Needless to say, this tour provides an excellent introduction for children to the world of art and the MET!

Storytime has never been so colorful!
