Winemaking and merrimaking have always gone hand in hand, and this tour of all things grape on Seneca Lake is no exception. Focusing on the lake’s vinifera grape-growing southeastern shore, you’ll visit three local wine institutions that are worth all the buzz.
You’ll begin with a vineyard tour at Standing Stone Vineyards, where you’ll sample Chardonnays and Cabernets straight from the barrel, before heading to the tasting room for a bottled tasting paired with local cheese.
Up next, you’ll head to Chateau Lafayette Reneau for a tasting of the 2014 Governor’s Cup Winner for the best singular wine in New York State, a semi-dry Riesling, as well a Cabernet and canape pairing.
You’ll end your wine-tasting journey at Damiani Wine Cellars with a tasting of a few of the top vinifera reds in the region and locally-made chocolates designed specifically for them. Pretty sweet, huh?
Note: Must be 21+ to purchase and consume alcohol. Please inform vendor of any dietary restrictions. Activity price includes the transportation, tasting fees, added services, lunch, and special food pairings
