Did the Greenwich Village tour with a girlfriend this June. Our guide, Ted, was very knowledgable about the Village, restaurants, food, and history of the area. The food was simply delicious (pizza, cookies, cannoli, eggplant rollatini, cauliflower sautéed with onions and currants, arancini, olive oil). Every stop was an experience. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city!

Tour guide engaging and knowledgable, length/content just right, felt like we learned some gems off the beaten path. Really fun!

First time in NYC and signed up for this food tour after reading reviews like these....highlight of the trip!! The tour was a great mix of local history, neighborhood culture and, of course, food! We took the Greenwich Village tour and Sephrah was our exceptionally knowledgeable guide. She was hilarious and added a lot of personality to the tour. There was a nice variety of food and it was all delicious. Many of the shops ship their goodies so you can continue to enjoy a little bit of NYC from far away.
This is a must for anyone visiting NYC! Will definitely sign up for another Food of New York tour again.

A wonderful way of discovering an area you wouldn't necessarily find on your own, but certainly not one to miss!
Three hours of wondering the leafy and sleepy roads of Greenwich Village, while sampling various foods as well as learning about the history of the area, it's culture and architecture.
We covered Joe's Pizza, O & Co olive oil, Milk & Cookies, Pesce Pasta, Rocco's Pasticceria, Murray's Cheese Shop, among others. We also got to see the city's slimmest building, the apartment they used for the exterior in Friends, a locksmiths decorated entirely in old keys and locations for Sex & The City.

We went on the Greenwich Village tour this weekend, my mom was visiting from out of town. I loved it! Heather, our tour guide, was perfect and showed us many new gems that I will now revisit again and again!!

My best friend and I went to the Greenwich village and Soho tour today - our guide Raheem was excellent, very friendly and knowledgeable. We had an incredible time, thoroughly enjoyed it. We loved every bite of the food and learnt so much about an amazing area. I especially loved seeing things like Dylan's old house and there were some great shops too, which we did some shopping in after the tour (with our discount coupons). During the tour you have the chance to buy some drinks and the wine and cocktails we had were as good as the food. We're both still stuffed several hours later!
The excellent guide really made the experience for us. It's our first time to the village and we already feel like we know loads about it, so impressed. Thank you Foods of New York :)

The Original Greenwich Village Food Tour introduced me to hidden gems that a local downtown gal found just as exciting as the tourists in the group! I learned so much history on the neighborhood that I did not know and now have great restaurants and specialty food shops to add to my list! Thank you for a great experience- and for delicious food of course! I hope to try the other NYC neighborhood tours that are offered and will recommend this tour in particular to friends and family! Bon Appetite!

Food tour was alright, though there wasn't a whole lot of info on the Greenwich village area, which I would have liked. Food portions were ok--everything was just average. No real complaints, just didn't wow me.

Very friendly, informative and amusing tour guide that made the 3 hour tour extremely enjoyable. Gave us a really good appreciation of Greenwich Village and its culinary and cultural delights. We came back afterwards on our own time to some of the places we visited on the tour as we now knew where to get authentic pizza, the best cookies and other food delights. Highly recommended for visitors to NY early in their stay so you can come back too.

We visit New York a couple times a year and usually do it all on our own, so this was a new experience. Really a good one. Lots of taste treats, a little Greenwich history, and an easy pace and walk.
