Flushing Chinatown Food Tour June 7, 2017The best part I would say overall was visiting the local spots not the tourist areas. We now feel we could go back on our own and know where to go

Flushing Chinatown Food Tour April 10, 2015A wonderful experience. Very enterteining and educative.
Joe Di Stefano is a lovely guide. One of the highlights of our New York visit.
Maybe two things:
- A bit more information about the different styles of Asian cuisine and about cooking techniques and ingredients.
- Offering different levels, from basic to exclusive foods.
I'll recommend the Vimby tour to everybody. -

Flushing Chinatown Food Tour November 10, 2014This was a unique adventure. I didn't know Flushing even had a Chinatown. Joe brought us to places we would have never known about and sampled food that we never would have thought of trying. Joe is a great guy and wonderful guide. We will definitely try another one of his tours and tell our friends

Flushing Chinatown Food Tour August 12, 2014I would thoroughly recommend this tour! Joe is incredibly knowledgeable about food and the best places to eat in the area (as well as Queens and the 7 line more generally) and through his tour we were happy to be able to experience Flushing’s best food as an insider. The tour covered Indian and Korean food as well as various types of Chinese and it was a really great way to spend an afternoon off the usual tourist track!

Flushing Chinatown Food Tour May 14, 2014If you are ready to get off the beaten path of Manhattan, try this delicious and informative food tour in Queens. It was an easy 45 min. train ride from Times Square, and Joe met us with chopsticks in hand. We explored Flushing's Chinatown from Asian food courts, to markets, and food vendors. We tried everything from pork belly buns, and spicy pork tongue to dumplings with soup inside, and sea bass potstickers. Joe knows his Asian cuisine and is friendly and easygoing. It was a great way to spend an afternoon and we went home stuffed.

Flushing Chinatown Food Tour February 19, 2014Joe D is a rock star in the world of Queens food. We had a blast -- a great evening of mind blowing food, great conversation and little hidden foodie spots that we could never have discovered even with years of research. Joe knows his way around the best food joints in Queen's like nobody's business. He is personable, easy to talk to and down to earth and he makes sure you have a great experience. We would take tours with him again and again.

Flushing Chinatown Food Tour April 20, 2013This was a delicious adventure! For those of you who think you know New York, you really don't until you have done this tour... Joe does an amazing job picking the best dishes and giving you a full experience of various cuisines, popular local hang-outs and even the best markets. Everyone I tell about our experience wants us to take them to Flushing China Town - I can't wait to go back and bring more friends to experience Joe & the amazing food finds.

Flushing Chinatown Food Tour April 9, 2013A marvelous introduction to many of the delicious foods of Flushing's Chinatown. Included treats ranged from Peking Duck mini sandwiches to spicy tofu to some of the best hot-from-the-fryer barbecued pork dumplings I've ever had. The best part was discovering out-of-the-way food courts where locals eat that I would never have discovered on my own. It's important to be an adventurous eater and open to new culinary experiences to fully enjoy this tour, and loving spicy food is a real plus. There are a few dishes that involved organ meats and chili oil, but there are many others that (thankfully) don't. I would have liked to have a map showing the locations of everywhere we had visited and a list of names, addresses, phones and websites for these locations, wherever available. This would have made the tour experience even more valuable. Thanks for everything, Joe!
