Manhattan's Chinatown is full of edible treasures that are hidden from the beaten path. Join Home Cooking NY for a tasting tour of NYC's most jam-packed neighborhood -- Chinatown. You'll see how to properly eat your soup dumplings, where to find delicious Malaysian beef jerky, Vietnamese bahn mi sandwiches, fresh and chewy hand-pulled noodles, and cups of black sesame ice cream. Along the way, you'll decode all the vegetable and fish stands and restaurant equipment stores that line the streets. In addition to sampling foods all along the way (note: come hungry!), the tour will break mid-way for a sit-down dim sum sampling at the city's best spot.
Note: The meeting location will be at Prosperity Dumpling (46 Eldridge St). The tour will end at Kam Man Foods so you have a chance to pick up a few well-priced pieces of Asian cooking equipment and ingredients.
