Intro to Improv

What to expect
  • Learn the basics of improvisation through games and exercises that’ll get you thinking on your feet
  • Meet new people looking to take risks and let loose just like you
  • Act as many different characters in a fun, relaxed environment
  • No experience necessary
Here’s a fact you know too well: You’re so unfunny that funny stories become not funny when you tell them.

And here’s a fact you didn’t know: Improv is not about trying to be funny!

Say what? The way Magnet Improv does it, learning the art of improv is about presentation and interaction.

Take who you are, your knowledge, experience, tastes and point of view, and by employing concrete techniques, play with other smart people doing just the same. That’s how you get the magic of improvisation.

You’ll learn to do original, honest, and ridiculous funny work through games and exercises in this introductory level class.

Develop skills that are useful in every aspect of your life, as it brings out the best in you in the classroom and beyond.

If you’re ready to take risks, you’re ready for improv.
