Do you love being on the water? Still get a thrill out of sports? Why not combine the two and try kayaking! This beginner kayaking course provides three and a half hours of thorough paddle instruction. You'll receive a general introduction to the sport of kayaking through dry-land training, boat education, and actual kayaking on the Hudson River. You will be sure to learn the proper mechanics of paddling, launch and rescue methods and boat fit. Manhattan Kayak Company will teach you everything you will need to begin paddling against the current in no time at all!

Note: A bathing suit is required. There is no age requirement for this activity, however all participants must be over four feet tall, and must be able to do 3 push-ups and 3 squats comfortably. If you are under the age of 18, a guardian must sign a waiver for you upon arrival. Please note that the price includes our partner's $2 scheduling fee.

You may cancel or rebook at least 24 hours before your session start time at no cost. If you are canceling within 24 hours of session start time, the reservation will not be refunded or transferred. If you are requesting to rebook within 24 hours of the start time, a $25 fee per person will be charged promptly and the rebooking must be made immediately, otherwise the reservation cannot be rebooked. Arriving after the start time or without a valid voucher is considered as a cancellation.
