This insightful tour will share some of the stories of Bootleggers and Beer Barons during the Prohibition Era in The Bronx. During the roaring ‘20’s, when there were notorious characters controlling the goods in New York City, Arthur “Dutch Schultz” Flegenheimer (aka the “Beer Baron of the Bronx”) became one of the most powerful gangsters in New York City.
You’ll learn about the Baron and a host of other interesting characters, as well as check out Art Deco buildings from the 20’s. You’ll also visit a brewery and a distillery -- it might not taste exactly like it did back then, but trust us, you’ll be in a drinking mood after learning so much about booze!
This four and a half hour tour is the perfect way to learn about the Bronx’s storied history, while having a great time!
