Learn from trained instructors who have mastered the art of this deadly weapon. Find fencing a little too sporty? Take the first step in learning to swing a deadly sword like a hot knife through butter! This introductory “iaido” (pronounced e-i-do) class will give you the basics of sword handling, from drawing, cleaning, weilding, and sheathing the blade. Time to channel your inner Samurai because you will practice controlling the precise and deadly movements of handling a practice sword. Fortunately, the sparring employs the use of wooden swords for safety reasons. After all, these are real techniques -- not a sport.
Note: No experience or equipment is required. Swords and uniforms will be provided.
