This class focuses on grappling and ground fighting with the goal of gaining a dominant position against your opponent in order to force them to submit. Jiu Jitsu enforces the principle that a smaller, weaker person using leverage and proper technique can successfully defend himself or herself against a bigger, stronger assailant. Your strength, stamina, and balance will all improve through Jiu Jitsu training. This class is designed to give you a taste of this fighting form by kicking your butt (literally) with an intense workout.
