Intro to Rappelling (Allamuchy State Park) July 19, 2017Fantastic experience--we took a giant group of students out to climb two weeks in a row, and each time the guides at Northeast Mountain Guiding were friendly, on time and very focused on our students' safety. They came with lots of equipment and set up three ropes, so all of our students got ample opportunity to climb.
Thank you! -

Intro to Rappelling (Allamuchy State Park) May 11, 2016My fiance took me Water Rappelling for our anniversary. He has been rappelling many times over the years although never in a waterfall and I have never been rappelling.
I was nervous with this being my first time, but the guides were very friendly and reassuring. The hike up to the waterfall is very steep. They mention that on the site and it is definitely true! My calves got a good workout from the hike!
They first took us hiking into the woods to the bottom of the waterfall to put our bags down and go over safety with us. We put our gear on before hiking up to the top where the other guide explained more. I felt prepared when I started even though I was very nervous. It was intimidating, but also a lot of fun. I only went down once, but my fiance went down 4 or 5 times. I would definitely tr it again, but I would prefer to have some practice on a dry setting before rappelling in the waterfall again. -

Intro to Rappelling (Allamuchy State Park) May 7, 2016I went hiking with joe for my boyfriend's birthday and as first time hikers we had an awesome experience! Joe is extremely knowledgeable, informative and personable. The weather was a little chilly and damp but it made the experience even better. Due to the weather we didn't get to see any animals as they were hiding. It was never an awkward moment and he made sure to stop when he noticed I was winded and needed to hydrate. I'm definitely coming back to hike another trail and to also try other excursions that Northeast Mountain guiding has to offer.

Intro to Rock Climbing (Allamuchy State Park) February 19, 2014I have done the Intro to Rock Climbing at Alamuchy St Park and the Intro to Ice Climbing @ Mt Minsi with my daughter. We both had a blast at each of the events. The guides were on time and very friendly and easy to work with. Before the climbing started we spent a good 30 minutes discussing how to belay and each person learning how to tie in properly. A guide was always present as a backup belayer in case any of us got into trouble. As the day went on they were good about giving advice and tips on what to do and how to do it.

Intro to Rock Climbing (Allamuchy State Park) February 14, 2014I can’t thank you enough for the wonderful experience of rock climbing in Allamuchy State Park today. Damon and Jessica were wonderful guides and my grandchildren really enjoyed them. I think the children had a fabulous experience which boosted their self confidence and self esteem. I am sure they will remember this for a long time. They could not wait to contact people on the way home to tell them about their adventure. Thank you for making this awesome experience happen.
