Greenwich Village Rock Tour

What to expect
  • Stroll through the artsy streets of Greenwich Village, which housed starving artists, musicians, and Bohemians
  • Learn about the Village’s roots as a creative mecca
  • Visit historic locales that were frequented by Bob Dylan, Hendrix, and Jack Kerouac
“I regret profoundly that I was not an American and not born in Greenwich Village. It might be dying, and there might be a lot of dirt in the air you breathe, but this is where it's happening.” --John Lennon

Greenwich Village has been the mecca to creative, rebellious Bohemians. It may no longer be filled with starving artists, but the neighborhood remains a creative artery for the downtown scene. On this walking tour, you’ll look at the musicians and locales that put the Village on the map, such as Dylan, Hendrix, Cafe Wha, and Scrap Bar. Listen to the stories and grab a coffee where Kerouac and Ginsberg might have.

Note: This tour will not be going to into any of the buildings or sites but afterwards you may want to visit them. The exact meeting location will be provided upon booking.
