About this Activity
This charged experience provides you and a small team the chance to immerse yourself into an artificial scenario in which you must devise a plan of escape, and rescue a hostage being held in a top secret facility.
You'll need to exercise the full extent of your creative thinking and observational skills as you piece together seemingly abstract data points into a comprehensive strategy.
And you only have an hour to do it! That means you and your team will need to work fast, fighting the urge to panic as the clock ticks away. Good luck, team!
Note: Max team size is 5; recommended is 4. One member of team will play the role of the hostage, which is central to the mystery.

Cory S.Dungeon of Elements Room Escape February 26, 2017
I did the Dungeon of Elements room on 2/25/17 and had an amazing time. We escaped with 7 minutes to spare and thought the room and clues were well set up, made sense and were the perfect level of difficultly. We had some people in our group who had never done escape the room before, and some more experienced people, this room was the perfect middle ground for us. Once we had escaped, our game master asked us if we had any questions and walked us through the room to explain some clues to us. It was really thoughtful of them!
I've only done one other escape the room with a different company, but I thought this one well very well organized and great level of difficulty! Combined with easy booking process, high production level and friendly game masters, I can't wait to come back and try some of the other rooms!

My group had a REALLY fun time. We did Escape Plan 2 and it was very different from other escape rooms we've done. The clues and puzzles were clever but not impossible to figure out. We are for sure coming back for more.

Having already played the games at the Manhattan location, we decided to trek out to Flushing to play the Da Vinci Obsession and the Dungeon of Elements, and both were great. The sets were nice, the games were logical and challenging, and had a nice balance of different types of puzzles, although the one thing I will say is that e REALLY could have used a piece of paper in the Dungeon, as was given to us in the other game...
I think this place has the potential to be exceptional, but as it is they definitely hold up to the Mission Escape standard and have some of the best escapes in NYC. Hopefully we will be back to play the Egyptian tomb theme!

Katherine C.Escape Plan Room Escape December 20, 2016
This was everyone's first time in my group and we all had a really fun time. Our "game master" was hilarious, went out of his way to make us comfortable by bringing us a portable heater into the chilly room and answered all our silly questions.
The one hour went by really quickly and we felt so stumped during some parts. It felt as if we were given a lot of hints through the monitor and he actually gave us a few extra minutes at the end. I would say it was a little frustrating that one clue didn't match up exactly, which left us in a spiral.
Otherwise, when we stepped out, he went over the clue with us and we were told it was the hardest game they have! The experience opened my eyes to these games. It's a great way to hang out with friends besides the usual.

Such a great experience! I came here with 6 other friends for the DaVinci Obsession Room at 10:30pm and had such a blast. The maximum for the room was 7 so it was perfect. Booking the rooms are pretty easy, you can use the website and it will give you the available time slots. Just make sure to arrive at least half an hour earlier so they can go over the rules with you.
The room itself was pretty difficult but I expected this going in because it's 5/5 for difficulty. But the guy was so helpful and gave us so many hints when we were stuck. He used the screen to type out hints whenever we hit a dead end. It's embarrassing to admit but he also paused the clock because we struggled with one part for so long... but that was really nice of him since it meant he had to be there longer! The room was well thought out and I'd love to come back to try the other escape rooms.
I'd recommend going for an easier room especially if you're doing an Escape Room for the first time. Definitely coming back!

This was my first escape room and it was the best idea my friends and I had. It's reasonably priced and literally the most fun we've ever had!! We're definitely coming back to do the rest of the missions! We actually plan to come back in a few days!!

There are some concerns about going to a creepy alley area in Flushing for an Escape Game. Wasn't this location abandoned a few years ago? Why are the windows barred up? Oh so spooky. But after you ring the doorbell and entered for the first time, it feels like the decor of a spooky seance place, until you realize this is the most awesomely decorated Escape Room place ever!
This was a first time for an escape room for many in my group, and we chose the Dungeon of Elements. I love the prep talk:
- "Do not touch the water. There's nothing in there as clues. Everything you need can be seen."
- "There's nothing on the floor and underneath carpet. Try not to break our infrastructure."
- "If the lock combination is correct, you push in down the first time and it should pop open. Push it down twice to reset."
Your stuff are locked up in a trunk before you enter the room. In hindsight, a pen and paper would have come in handy. The only way to speed this up is to break up into teams. Also, there was a malfunction in regards to some of the puzzles, but they will freeze time and walk in to help us if needed. The clues were great because they tailor the game to however many clues your group might need (beginners, slowpoke, speed solvers).
In the end, we solved it! This was my first escape the room that I actually completed. Pretty happy about it. Will definitely do another one here.

Our "Elite Escape" team tackled the Escape Plan game this past weekend. The game is based on the 2013 movie with the same name starting Stallone and Schwarzenegger. There is no need to have seen this movie but it will enhance your experience!
Your mission, release your prisoner and escape the prison ship.
A very important hint given on Room Enigma NYC website is
"Key to Success
GEOGRAPHIC COORDINATE SYSTEM common sense.
Imagination and logical reasoning skills."
Also a good EYE FOR DETAILS!
(Don't ask me for anymore hints! lol)
We found Escape Plan game to be very challenging compared to many other escape games I have played. It was difficult and we were not successful at escaping but a great challenge for all fans of Escape Gamers.
The max number of players is 5 and that felt crowded! Four players is ideal.
Try this game and may the odds be with you!

The place is a bit inconspicuous, but it's an overall challenging and fun experience! The puzzles were a lot more complicated than I was expecting, but that made it all the more fun! I'd go back to Flushing for this, and try out the other themed rooms.
