Boil some noodles, dump a jar of Prego on the noodles. Bam! Pasta. That’s like saying a saltine with ketchup and a Kraft single of cheese is pizza. Known for its simplicity, Italian is always an obvious choice for dinner -- quick, cheap, and delicious. But there’s more to Italian cuisine than bread, cheese, and marinara. This course offers insight into easy, real Italian dishes. While designed for the beginner cook, the fundamentals covered are so essential to Italian cooking that even the advanced chef will benefit from learning them. You’ll make fresh egg pasta noodles, a perfect ragu sauce, Chicken Scaloppine, and even tiramisu. Differentiate your menu with the techniques of authentic Italian home cooking. By the end, you’ll have forgotten all about Prego.

Your cooking menu includes:

  • Homemade pasta with two-meat ragu

  • Chicken Scaloppine with fontina and prosciutto in marsala glaze

  • Roasted broccoli with garlic and chili

  • Smashed baby red potatoes with chives and smoked paprika

  • Tiramisu

Note: All supplies are provided with the exception of an apron. You will have the option to purchase one upon arrival for $20 or you can bring your own (an old t-shirt will suffice as well).
