Embark on a Raccoon Brook hike, and expect to pass through large boulders, wander through mountain laurel tickets, and glimpse understories of blueberry bushes and cross intermittent streams. As you continue to climb, you will reach a rock ledge covered in scrub oak and pitch pine with a dramatic overlook of Harriman State Park to the southwest. After reaching the top of the mountain, you'll enjoy the breathtaking scenery with a lunch break before heading back down to where you started.
