Starting from Old St. Patrick's Cathedral, you'll take a look back at a time to when these two vibrant neighborhoods were mostly Irish run, before heading south, where you'll pass by New York's first ever pizzeria. Arriving in Little Italy, you'll perhaps stop for espresso and a pastry, and will visit two popular fine food shops, featuring homemade pastas, and imported meats and cheeses. As you make your way southward along iconic streets, you'll find yourself immersed in a world where cuisine is culture, passing kitchen shops and restaurants promoting their fare with Old World charm. Arriving in Chinatown, you'll discover an altogether different world, rife with Chinese, Japanese, and Southeast Asian vendors and shops. You'll browse the Chinatown markets, finding exotic fruits and vegetables, Asian butchers, fish vendors, and of course lots and lots of noodles.
