Who knew there was some much to learn about pizza?
Scott's tour was great fun, excellent value, informative and filling.
What Scott doesn't know about pizza, well I don't think there is anything.....
His knowledge is only surpassed by his excitement and passion. This I would nominate as one of my quirkiest yet quintessential New York tours to take

A must-do nyc attraction - fun, informative and filling. I always take friends on Scott's tours when they come to NYC!

If you're a pizza lover this is a must do activity while you are in New York.
We did the Greenwich Village pizza tour (mostly because it was only one available during the week in April). We had a group of about 16 and Scott himself conducted the tour. I've never met any tour guide on any tour I've ever taken that had as much knowledge, passion and enthusiasm as Scott. He is a Pizza encyclopedia and a Pizza fanatic.
We had a fantastic time on a beautiful April NY day visiting 3 pizza places and enjoying three completely different styles of pizza and talking all about pizza from how to make it, ingredients, history, where to go and anything else you can think about pizza.
If you love pizza, don't miss this tour!!! I'm going to go again next time I'm in NYC

We went on the Greenwich Village tour that consisted of visits to three pizza restaurants. Scott's tours are educational tours: the focus is on how pizza is made and the evolution of pizza. We chose this tour for my kids (a 15 year old and a 9 year old). My youngest child really enjoyed it; my teenager was mildly bored. On the positive side, Scott is incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about pizza. On the negative side, we only enjoyed the pizza at the first restaurant - we found the pizza at the other two restaurants to be mediocre. For $160 (for a family of four), I expected the pizza to be outstanding and thus was somewhat disappointed.

Did the Greenwich village tour with Scott taking us through the history of New York pizza. This tour lives on Scott's passion and he really makes the tour a pleasure through his knowledge and enthusiasm. He takes the time to answer your questions and share his knowledge of the history of pizza in NYC and why a pizza comes out the way it does. We visited three restaurants sampling a slice from each to see how oven and ingredients come together in different ways. We also seemed to run into a wide sample of the pizza restaurant community of who stopped and greeted Scott as we went along. It was a great start to our holiday and a real highlight of the trip. We also came back and ate at one of the restaurants after our experience. The little goodie bag with candy pizza was a nice touch. That there were local New Yorkers on the tour indicates it hold attraction even for locals as well us international visitors.
