Sushi Making Deluxe Experience February 6, 2017Got a chance to check these guys out again last year (2015, though just getting around to writing this now.) This time they came to our work Hanukkah party and worked with our whole office to teach us to make sushi. Everyone had an absolute blast! It was def one of the coolest office party concepts ever.
And they came armed with knives and cutting boards this time! -

Sushi Making Deluxe Experience January 28, 2016The class was super fun! Simon is engaging and approachable, and he will definitely make you feel like making sushi is a piece of cake after the experience.
The class is definitely tailored towards practicality. Simon used knives commonly found in anybody's kitchen and ingredients that are accessible at Whole Foods. If you've made sushi before, the class will feel very elementary, perhaps even a bit slow, but nonetheless I definitely left with some great tips!
This is no place to get trained to become the next Jiro, but it is a place to have a fun night with a group of friends. You get to make some simple sushi and eat it afterwards, it was best way to spend what would have been a boring weekday night! -

Sushi Making Deluxe Experience January 19, 2016Simon is a great instructor and provides a good deal of information about sushi including where to purchase your own fish, how to make your own rice and what to look for when buying a knife. The sushi you make in class is really good and everyone left with a full belly. It's a good class to bring a significant other, friend or family member to.

Sushi Making Deluxe Experience January 18, 2016I'm full! And I had a lot of fun and also learned a lot about sushi at the same time. Great activity for couples. Simon's enthusiasm for sushi was apparent and made for a really fun class. Very reasonable pricing for the class, which came with a lot of food and 4 drinks between the couple. Definitely recommend doing this sometime as a fun/unique date or as an activity with your significant other, especially if you both like sushi.

Sushi Making Deluxe Experience January 21, 2015I really liked the course but it should be named Sushi by Simon "for couples". I should've done my research. I was the only solo person which was pretty awkward. There were at least 6 couples and ME. The instructor made it however as least awkward as possible for me. I'd recommend it for couples or groups.

Sushi Making Basic Experience December 24, 2014There were a few best parts. It was very informative to learn about Japanese history, and more specifically, the history of sushi. Also, having the directions printed out ahead of time was very helpful so that we could focus on the lesson and be fully present instead of taking notes. Lastly, the variety of fish and vegetables that were available to put in the sushi made the experience very enjoyable.

Sushi Making Basic Experience October 16, 2014Instructor Alexandra was great. Friendly and clear. But class was overbooked, so there weren't enough seats really or materials for everyone to have a full dinner. Considering that the class actually does not consist of very much or go on for very long, a large component should be the quality of the meal you get to make for yourself, but the rice was seriously overcooked (hard as hell to the bite) and we didn't wind up having remotely as much to eat as we would have if we paid half of the class price. So that was a bummer.

Sushi Making Basic Experience July 22, 2014alright i want to give 5 stars but it wont let me click on the 5th one so you get 4. the only reason this was such a great experience was because of the professionalism and amazing etiquette of simon. it was a really wonderful class. On the other hand I wish I could have learned how to do much more complicated and different types of techniques. But for an introductory course this was amazing!
