Journey in a kayak through Blue Springs State Park, winter home to one of Florida's largest populations of Manatee. You will witness hundreds relaxing in the spring alone as a Florida Master Naturalist introduces you to the flora and fauna that make up this wild area.
Next, your group will paddle to the entrance of the spring run, park the kayaks, then walk the entire length of the spring run for a guided walk with plenty of time for photographs. Afterwards you will paddle towards the Snake River and/or Hontoon Island. Hontoon Island is packed with manatee, otter, and sun worshiping gators. Overhead you will see bald eagles, osprey, and red shoulder hawks scan the water and marshes for their next meal. On the river bank you can spot large wading birds, coots, moorhens, and the occasional wild hog.
Reconnect with nature and see a ton of wildlife you wouldn't otherwise get to see up close.
Note: Exact meeting location is provided upon confirmation of booking. Please indicate the following information in the Special Requests section: Would you like a single kayak, tandem kayak, or canoe? Is anyone in your party 6'3" or over 225 pounds?
