When it comes to family drama, the 18th-century Macphersons had it all.
You'll hear all about their head-spinning story during this two-hour exploration of their expansive Mount Pleasant home, which is widely considered to be one of the most stunning colonial architectural masterpieces in the nation.
While exploring the grounds alongside a well-educated guide, you'll enjoy incredible views of the Schuylkill River, learn about its interior craftsmanship, and hear stories of Captain John Macpherson and his wife Margaret, who commissioned the house from master builder Thomas Nevell in the 1760s.
It's certainly going to be an experience to build on!
