About this Activity

Goosebumps in Gettysburg? Explore the creepy side of the historic area during this one-hour evening of exploration by candlelight. Each tour is customized by its storyteller guide, who will add to the spooky ambiance with authentic Victorian garb.

You'll visit a selection of Gettysburg's creepiest locations, which may include the Haunted Creek Bed, the Dobbin House, the Jennie Wade House, the Orphanage, the Evergreen Cemetery, the Lincoln Cemetery, and the Grove.

As you walk, your guide will offer insights into the bloody Civil War battle that Gettysburg is most known for, as well as some of the haunted stories that dominate local urban legend.

It's going to be a boo-tiful thing.

Holy cow, there was a lot of stuff that happened during our tour. One of the ghosts even new the name of may friends great grandfather that was in the civil war in Pennsylvania. Tons of orbs on pictures, moving objects and voices through the equipment. Changed how I view spirit activity.

My 5 year old daughter was enamored on this tour. NOT SCARED, but very interested. Our tour guide was very interactive, tied in history and 'here say', asked us to take pictures to help support ghost data. He also gave us information regarding downtown during the war. It was a tour inside a tour really! He was dressed as a confederate, he asked how gruesome he could be in front of my daughter (I appreciate that) and he engaged well with the kids on the tour. He was a good storyteller. Overall we were happy with our Black Cat tour!

1st night - we did the battle cry tour. It was so informative and really well done. I learned so much about the history here as well as the haunting stories. We didn't have any encounters but that's not what we were expecting. The knowledge we left was made it worth it! AMAZING!

2nd night - We came back again for another tour because the first one was so cool! We did the black cat tour which was just as awesome. Our guide was passionate about her job and gave us SO much information about the town.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My son and I went on the extreme ghost tour. We had such a great time. It was a lot of fun and very exciting. We did get activity - while just the two of us were in a room, the door shut on it's own while we were sitting down. We did try to disprove the experience but just could not.

Advantages - was able to spend a lot of time in two places so we were able to get activity. Most of the time we were in rooms alone

Disadvantage - too many people were on the tour. If I was a ghost I would not know who to talk to!! Also there were people in our group who hogged the equipment so we didn't get to use most of the equipment as we would have liked. I wish there were less people on the tour - can't imagine what the summer is like.

Booked tickets in advance online. Picked them up just before the tour (hassle-free). The Black Cat Tour is a nice mix of history and ghost stories over the course of an hour. Would recommend for families. The walk/tour with an entertaining guide was right up my alley. Thanks, Dan!

We did the black cat tour Friday and had a great time. Even with the chilly temps our guide kept us interested and made it fun. He was very knowledgeable and dressed the part in his kilt and furs. We would definitely recommend this tour and hope to go back and try their other ones in the future.

Great for groups or dates. I went with my boyfriend and had a great time. Despite it being bitterly cold, our hour long "Black Cat Tour" was funny and insightful. Don't go expecting to see ghosts (there's other tours they offer for that). It was more like a history tour of local ghosts and lore.

Not impressed at all. Not worth the $140 I spent on 4 tickets. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Tonight we tried out the Black Cat tour. It was a pretty neat experience! We started out with a tour guide in Confederate dress. He took us around for about an hour, telling stories of the history of the battles and the landmarks around it.

The pros:

He was informative and knowledgeable. I learned a lot of new things.

The atmosphere was fun.

The group was small and intimate.

The cons:

No good place to use the restroom.

The lights of the city took away from the ambiance.

Expected more to do with paranormal.

Overall a nice experience to have at least once. Enjoyed it!
