Phoenix to Las Vegas via Sedona and Grand Canyon

Some say it's the journey, not the destination, that matters. But when your destination is Las Vegas, that's some tough wisdom to live up to. This unique Phoenix-to-Las Vegas trek gets it right, with a grand detour that'll have you gawking.

You'll disembark from the Phoenix Metro Area and head towards Grand Canyon National Park, passing through picturesque desert landscapes. On the way, you'll stop by Sedona to stretch your legs, which just happens to be home to some of the most famous red rock formations in the world.

Resuming your trip, you'll pass through the famous Old Creek Canyon, winding your way through walled canyons that rise up to 2,000 feet, only to emerge into the stunning Coconino National Forest, known for its likewise towering ponderosa pines.

After driving along the Mogollon Rim, you'll finally arrive at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, where the world will open up beneath you. You'll have an hour and a half to explore Grand Canyon National Park, shop, and enjoy a lunch that promises quite a view.

On the way to Las Vegas, you'll have time to soak it all up as you cruise along portions of the historic Route 66, cross the Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, and maybe get in a quick nap before hitting the Strip!
