Trying to get into martial arts but don’t know where to start? Get the basics from the “ground” up during this BJJ class!
Recognizing that’s where most fights end up, this highly popular style specializes in effective ground maneuvers such as joint locks and chokeholds. You’ll work on these and other techniques during this class, in addition to exploring ways in which leverage and proper body positioning can help you win out against opponents with superior size and strength.
Of course, you need to get to the ground in order for these skills to be effective, so you’ll also work on strikes to put your opponent off balance, and throws to send them flying.
In addition to building the confidence that you can win any fight, you’ll get a great workout, developing core body strength, stamina, and flexibility.
