TLC usually gave pretty good advice, but in this case we think you definitely SHOULD go chasing waterfalls!
Begin your journey by travelling along the Columbia River to the quaint town of Troutdale, the Gateway to the Gorge! There, you will join the beautiful Historic Columbia Highway, where the first stop for the day will be the famous Vista House. You will have time to take pictures of the beautiful Columbia River Gorge as well as time to explore the museum.
Following that, you'll get back on the highway to visit a number of waterfalls, including a short hike to get closer to Multnomah Falls. Afterwards, continue east for 45 minutes, to the town of Hood River, aka The Windsurfing Capital of the World!
You'll spend the next hour or so eating at a local award winning craft brewery. Following lunch, you'll set out again, this time heading south, through the scenic Fruit Loop orchards and lavender farms. After following the scenic road along the Hood River, you will arrive at the historic Timberline Lodge, atop volcanic Mt. Hood at 6k feet elevation! You'll spend some time exploring the lodge and will have one more optional hike to the Pacific Crest Trail crossing just behind the lodge!
Whew. It may sound like a lot for one day, but it's totally worth it -- come along on this whirlwind journey to experience Oregon's wonders!
Note: A party size of at least 2 is required to make this booking.
