    Ready for lobster and fresh Maine seafood? Then join us on this fun adventure to learn all about our famous crustaceans. Visit Portland’s vibrant working waterfront to view lobster boats often unloading their catch, learn about the historic wharves and our relationship to the sea . We’ll visit a mix of Old Port and waterfront district destinations, and sometimes a locale or two on the fringes, for a progressive lunch. Servings vary from dine-in and to go from restaurants, pubs, markets and artisanal shops. Learn about the life of lobsters dwelling on the ocean floor and hear about how hardy lobstermen and women haul in their catch year round, rain, snow and shine. This walking tour is less than a quarter mile long including a walk along the waterfront where the lobster boats drop off their catch. You will have more than enough food for lunch as this tour is very filling and a lot of tasty fun!

    Happy 2-Hour Tour (Old Port)

    This leisurely-paced walking tour carves a path through the streets of the charming Old Port while we share stories of life as it was back in the 1800's through present day. As you sip craft beer and cocktails, you'll learn how Mainers both smuggled in and made rum. So much so, in fact, that we needed prohibition way before the rest of the country (or so some thought). Learn the location of speakeasies which popped up all over town during this period of temperance, the story of our own "rum riot" and tales of where naughty sailors had their fun when they came to port. You'll see the first brew pub that was opened since prohibition ended and hear just how the Old Port area evolved to become a mecca for craft brewing. Finally, get in the know regarding Portland's current culinary and bar scene at one of the area's newest establishments. This tour is educational, tasty and definitely a happy two hours!
