If you are looking for just a little more lap time, this is the experience for you. You'll take everything from the Shootout package and add more laps for a total of 14-20 laps. More laps equals more speed and more thrills. To start, you go through a 45 minute orientation with a Professional Instructor, and then have 14-20 laps of racing. You will start behind the pace car just like the pros, and after a couple of warm-up laps, its "Green, Green, Green" as you're turned loose for an incredible run where passing is allowed and encouraged.
Note: In order to safely drive one of the race cars, you must be between 5 feet and 6 feet 4 inches tall, and have a waist/chest no bigger than 52 inches. If you fall outside this size please call before placing your booking.

Chicagoland Speedway Driving Experience: Race Day March 12, 2017Received the RW race experience as a Christmas present and got around to scheduling it yesterday. Had a great time. The hour instruction was thorough. One improvement may have been an in car video lap in the classroom if one wasn't riding with an instructor first. But even without video instruction the spotters instructions and encouragement were good. Did the 6 lap package and really enjoyed it. Hope to do it again sometime and take more laps

Chicagoland Speedway Driving Experience: Race Day October 17, 2016First off, Thank you to the Rusty Wallace crew and teachers. Sandy was an amazing teacher. A no BS tell it like it is type of instructor. I am NOT a NASCAR fan but I am a hot rod kind of guy. If you ever wanted to go 160 to 170 mph in a safe environment, The Rusty Wallace experience is the one to do for sure.
This is my second time in a NASCAR. My first was with the NASCAR experience at Fontana and hands down the Rusty Wallace experience was a way better deal. I would recommend the car upgrade if you have done this before for sure. -

Chicagoland Speedway Driving Experience: Race Day October 17, 2016My husband and I purchased this driving experience, for my father. He has always wanted to try this, since he is a big Nascar fan. When we got to the speedway, it was easy to get in and find seats out of the sun. My dad attended the required class prior to getting in a car. The instructor recommended everyone do a ride along first, to get a feel of the car. My Dad was very happy he did that. Once he got to drive, he was very happy.

Chicagoland Speedway Driving Experience: Race Day June 24, 2016My initial race day was canceled...but it was easy to reschedule.
Scotty, the instructor was friendly, thorough, and professional. I show up an hour early and they placed my in the 1 o'clock class instead of having me sit and wait. Race gear was used, and in usable condition, cars were set up well and so was the track.
As far as my time behind the wheel? All I can say is I've had a permanent grin since stepped out of the car! This is about you having a great time, you go as fast as you feel comfortable or as slow (which is still fast)

Chicagoland Speedway Driving Experience: Race Day April 3, 2016I paid and scheduled a specific day because we had multiple people coming in from out of state for a birthday celebration who wanted to race. The company cancelled my scheduled date and offered to reschedule. I explained my situation, and they quickly agreed to reimburse me- which I greatly appreciated. However, it's taken several months and a dispute with my credit card company to get FULLY reimbursed for what I was initiated charged.

Chicagoland Speedway Driving Experience: Qualifier Package July 9, 2013I will say that I was not the driver - it was a father's day gift for my husband. That said, I was disappointed in the overall experience.
We had paid for the video but he was put in car that they KNEW the video wasn't working, so he didn't get what he wanted. He did get this plaque thing instead but poor consolation prize. The other issue was they pulled him in after only 5 laps. So he got just over half of what was paid for.
I will not be recommending this to anyone who may ask and will most definitely not be doing anything else with them with my money. -

Chicagoland Speedway Driving Experience: Taste of Speed July 7, 2013really think they should change the name to Rusty Wallace Greatest Experience of Your Life. When I got there to race there was an accident and everything was delayed 1 hour. Which was totally ok, the staff was excellent and they completely kept you informed as to how long everything would take. The class instructor was excellant also he did not leave out anything you need to know during the class. Even with the delay, the staff moved everyone through the procedures perfectly. While your waiting for your time to race the excitement made the time go by fast.
The head phones you wear so you can hear your spotter are so clear that you hear as clear as if they were sitting in the car with you. I would rate this as a "TEN STAR" Experience! -

Chicagoland Speedway Driving Experience: Taste of Speed July 1, 2013By far some of the best customer service experience ever!!! I bought this for my husband as a Father's Day gift at the recommendation of someone that had done it previously. My husband is not an adrenaline junkie like I am so he was a bit worried from the get go... Excited.. but still worried. Everyone involved from the registration to the training to the actual experience put him at ease. EVERYONE! is so helpful, polite and in a great mood! They engage conversation with everyone there and genuinely want you to have an amazing experience. We will definitely be going back and will recommend this to EVERYONE and ANYONE..:)

Chicagoland Speedway Driving Experience: Taste of Speed May 2, 2013My husband is 72 yrs old and had the best time . Everyone was so helpful and went way out of their way to make sure he had a great experience . It was more then we ever expected and gave a NASCAR fan something to talk about for a long time . Now my son wants to ride also I can't think of a better gift . It was awesome!!!!!!
