Learn to win where most fights take place, which, contrary to what martial arts flicks suggest, isn't on top of houses. Master the art of using leverage to drop your foes quickly, no matter their size, and subdue them with efficient grappling maneuvers. Joint locks, chokes, and other techniques will be taught via partner drills and controlled sparring, as will evasions and escapes to get you out of those tricky situations.
Due to its effective utilitarian nature, jiu-jitsu makes an excellent practice for both sport and self-defense. In addition, continued practice means improved motor control, flexibility, and strength, plus the discipline and motivational benefits that come naturally from martial arts training.
