Morning Glory Canyon Hike (Ephedra's Grotto)

"Canyoneering." The word makes you giddy and sends your heart rate uphill. But maybe it's not just the excitement that's accountable for your pounding heart... you might not have been canyoneering before!

Well, you can set both your heart and sense of adventure at ease on Moab Tourism Center's Morning Glory/Ephedra's Grotto Canyoneering excursion. Spanning three miles, this route will lead you to two of Morning Glory's best rappels -- one 95 feet, the other 120.

All you've got to do is make sure you don't miss out on the magnificent Morning Glory Arch, which is just a few feet away from the rappel station!

Cool off with a downhill hike to the Colorado River along a spring fed stream, during which you'll have the opportunity to learn about wildlife, geology, local history, and more!
