Ephedra's Grotto - Half Day Canyoneering

If you've ever wanted to experience the thrill of rappelling down a sheer cliff face, well, you're insane... but it's doable.

During this inspiring adventure trek, you'll cover three miles of rugged parkland, enjoying vistas marked by petrified sand dunes, rocky prominences and plateaus, desert flora, and the Colorado River.

Over the course of your guided hike, you'll rappel down a 90-foot drop into a enclosed sandstone chamber. After exploring the chamber, you'll exit though a small slot and head to your next drop: a 120-foot free hanging rappel.

From there, you'll head down the Colorado River to learn about the local geology and ecology -- and, of course, cool off.

This is one experience you're guaranteed to fall for. But don't worry, it'll be a controlled descent.

Note: This excursion is from easy to moderate difficulty. You must be be at least 8 years old to participate.

A refundable deposit of 1/3 of trip total is due to guarantee reservation. Balance is due and will be charged the day prior to your trip.
