Pottery-Wheel Throwing Workshop

Want to throw clay? This two-hour intro to pottery workshop will teach you the basic techniques of proper wheel throwing. The workshop covers all the basics including preparing the clay for the wheel, a live step by step demonstration of centering the clay, and throwing (creating) a vessel on the pottery wheel. You will have 5 pounds of clay to get funky with and create something unique. This workshop is suitable for someone with no prior experience or as a refresher for someone with previous experience. After learning the basics, the remainder of the time will be used to further explore your creativity. Get throwing!

Note: Class will be cancelled if the minimum of 4 participants per class is not met.

All supplies and tools are included in the workshop. Aprons, towels, and additional supplies are available for a small fee to be paid for upon arrival. There is an optional $5 firing fee per piece for firing and glazing.
